Don Miguel — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

This is by far the best Dominican restaurant I have ever been to! My family and I were driving through town and were craving good authentic Dominican food and stumbled across this adorable family owned restaurant. I ordered the Vegan chimi and tostonoes and can honestly say it was the best Dominican food I have ever had. Although the food was absolutely delicious the best part about this restaurant are its workers. My waitresses name was Lisa Abreu and she made the experience an absolute 10/10. Not only was she super funny and polite she also was incredibly quick and efficient. The food did not take very long to make and the owner of the restaurant was an absolute sweetheart. Overall I rate this restaurant a 12/10 and will definitely be going back in...

This place is horrible, the food is disgusting it sits out all day & the staff is always new they quit because the management is horrible so they always have to hire new employees and the girls never know about any prices or about the food combos. The owners daughter she is so nasty she thinks she runs the store, she has the nastiest attitude & this place was once good back in the early 2000’s when it was la MIA! but now it’s run down! Trust me don’t waste your money or your time, order from Sabor Dominicano they are much better staffing and the food is so much better quality & way...

i went to the lounge at night !! worst experience of my life no freaking place to sit !!! the guy at the door told us it was gonna be 10 dollars for the entrance then i go in and the guy thats taking the money told me it was 15 and then !!! i give him a 20 and he doesnt return the last five that were mine !! like ?!!? they have reserved tables for people who buy bottles but i dont see the point in that honestly because they were all empty and just because we didnt buy a bottle we were just standing !!! WORST PLACE...
