Empanadas Monumental Freeport Long Island — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

HORRIBLE customer service! I order over the phone for pickup and I wanted beef with cheese and I was told ok and was rushed off the phone. I get there I pick it up, I brought back lunch for all my coworkers and we were all disappointed! Dry beef with no cheese. I call back VERY DISAPPOINTED and the girl argues with me! Talked over me! Wouldn't let me speak and said her manger wasn't there so there was nothing she could do and that when the manager gets in she will call me back. The place is run horribly I guess considering there is no manager or owner present. I'm highly disappointed! I was called back saying that I can only get a refund for the items I bring back! I've worked in restaurants for 15 years and we don't ever say well give it back and u will get a credit! The only way we knew it was bad by starting to eat the food!!!! Go to mamas empandas in queens! Cheap cheap cheap , thats all...

They got 2 stars because I love their empanadas and prices are reasonable but they lost 3 stars because the last 2 times I ordered I didn't get the empanadas I ordered I got different empanadas even she marked the bag appropriately but still managed to mess up my order, that was very disappointing. They also lost a star because it bothers me that the front staff always put their hands in the bag to open the bag. Just use the tongs to open the bag it's such a bad nasty habit because they touch everything and they lost a star because at my last visit they allowed people to go in without mask and right now during a pandemic that's a huge...

Today was my first time ordering and It was really good. I called for a delivery and didn't know there was a $5 delivery fee, also the Large Yaroa is $8 not $7 as advertised in their menu. They also sent me a cheese empanada instead of the pizza one I ordered (or at least I'm hoping it was a mistake, and that's not really their pizza empanada) Their food is flavorful and they have good customer service.
