Dunkin' — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

This is my regular DD. I order from here 5 days a week. It's not always perfect, but a handful of the staff works really hard to maintain hospitality and quality of their drinks. Then, this happened this past Saturday (5/5/18), and now I don't think I'll be going back again. Here's what happened when I was ordered through the drive thru...

Me: medium iced tea please. DD woman: that's going to be $2.49. Me: oh ok. I'm looking at your sign here and it says medium is $1.29 and large is $2.49. DD woman: I entered it in to our system and the price comes up as $2.49 for the medium. Its $2.49. Me: ok. I'm going to take a picture of the sign to show you in case this needs to be taken down. I'll be right there. Me at window to new DD person: hey, I mentioned to the woman I ordered with about this sign. I think it might be outdated so figured you'd want to see it.... DD woman runs to window from back counter: I HAVE A PICTURE, TOO! A PICTURE OF MY SCREEN SHOWING YOU THE PRICE. THIS ISN'T A SUPERMARKET. YOU DON'T GET TO SHOW A PRICE AND THEN THE ITEM IS THAT PRICE! Me: wow. Other DD person: avoiding eye contact, scans my phone to pay for the drink, and then hands me the iced tea without saying a word.

This is the photo. The mistake is a simple one, I think. The price I saw is a promo price for iced tea/lemonade mixes, not for regular iced teas. It would've been so easy to have just told me I was looking at the price of a different product. Instead she just wanted to scream at a regular...

Update July 2024: there has been a 180 change in this location. Yes, the prices are up but that is occurring everywhere. It’s renovated and the total staff is amazing. Orders are perfect and as a regular I can see and feel that the value me as a customer. Literally after revising my review, I had one rude unprofessional drive thru associate and the next day the coffee was not made to order. I see this Dunkin has a lesser experience with the weekend crew. During the morning work week, it’s great.

Through the year I’ve been to many Dunkin. The location at 764 Sunrise is probably one of the worst. Doesn’t appear clean from the outside. Extensive wait time in drive through. Only a few cars and it takes 10-15 minutes to the speaker. Prices seems to increase monthly. A small coffee is $2.49; increases .40 this year alone. Items constantly prepared incorrectly or poorly. Escalate to the manager. He’s sarcastic doesn’t take accountable and makes no apology. Completing the surveys make no difference; they don’t respond.Avoid the frustration and avoid...

Worse Dunkin' Donuts!!! They always either mess up my order, food is nasty, or my latte is horrible. I don't know who owns and operates this location but, they need to figure out what's going on! The service guy tonight took my order and made the food. After asking me 2-3 times what my order was he stilllll messed it up!! How is that possible??? And he was wearing gloves but, touching everything in sight with the same gloves he was going to make the food with!! There needs to be one person to take orders and another to prepare the food. A supervisor needs to show these associates proper food handling protocol. I always tell myself not to stop here but, do anyways because it is in a convenient location for me. I honestly think today's my last day visiting that location! I might even call corporate! This location is horrible. Better management is needed!!! Changes...
