We try to support new local businesses and tried this place outside of our normal trek to Hicksville for Indian food. The customer service was nonexistent. Ordered food for pick up, was specific with instructions for dal as it was for my kids and asked for it to be mild. Order not ready when promised, ok no biggie, finally got the food and brought it home to have dinner, the paneer was one dimensional in flavor and was just spicy, there was like no salt, the dal was SUPER SPICY! I called back and explained what had happened, I received no apology and no solution, I asked if they could drop off a freshly made mild dal and they said no because there was no transportation available, I asked what other solution could be offered and he told me nothing, I then requested for the dal to refunded from the order at least because it was inedible, and he said he could see what he could do, he eventually did refund the dal’s price back, after 2 more phone calls because they couldn’t figure out their payment system. I understand mistakes happen, but if you are trying to create a customer base as a new business at least take some accountability and offer the customer solutions and apologize? Will not be returning, will just stick with my favorites...
Read moreFound this gem by accident and Im so glad I did. I didnt have much time so I got the chicken Tikka Masala lunch special for $15 with a can of soda. What came out of the kitchen was a meal worthy of $50+ anywhere else. There was a generous serving of Nan to accompany a deep savory bowl of chicken Tikka. I had requested 'medium' for my spicy level and I'm glad I did, anything hotter would've changed my opinion. The Tikka Masala immediately made me feel like I was eating in some auntys kitchen somewhere. The Nan is buttery and flaky just made to perfection. The place itself isn't the Taj Mahal, but the cozy setting adds to the home cooked appeal of its food. I cannot wait to return to sample some of their other dishes. Highly recommend...
Read moreMy wife and I dined here on a Saturday afternoon at 330pm. We wanted Indian food but did not want to drive to Hicksville and many Indian restaurants in that area are closed in the midafternoon before dinner. The main reason for visiting is that it was relatively close to home and was open mid afternoon. We are so pleased that we choose to eat here. While I do not remember all the names of the dishes we are. Everything was reasonably priced, delicious, flavorful, and fresh. We can’t wait to eat...
