Manolo's Churrasqueira & Seafood — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

First Time at this place, and not my last. Appetizer: Grilled Octopus($18): Was great. Nicely Seasoned and not chewy. The onions and Peppers give it a nice smokey taste. Bacon Wrapped Shrimp($17): Bacon and Shrimp in a Spicy Sauce. This was pretty Damn good. The sauce was a little too salty , but did not take away from the the taste of the dish. Entree: Grilled Meat Platter for 2 ($76): Beef Short Ribs, Top Sirloin, Skirt Steak , Portuguese Sausage, Turkey Wrapped in Bacon, and Pork Spare Ribs. All the meats were nicely cooked and nicely grilled and charred. This was served with Yellow Rice and Black Beans, with a side of Homemade Potato Chips and Fried Banana. The onions on the meat was grilled so nicely that they tasted like onion rings. I don't even like onion but they were amazing.

The owner July was attentive and very personable. Asked for our names and welcomed us back again.

The only cons are as follows:

No Liquor License at the moment , but it's coming soon, still in the process. The location is a bit hard odd. I believe there are 2 restaurants on that street so it will be a bit difficult to find parking at times. The prices are a bit high, but not by much. The Grill platter would look better on the menu as : for one: 39.99 and for two: $74.99, instead of $43 and $76 respectively. The appetizers were priced well.

All in all this was a great first visit, can't wait to go again. Need to try the seafood. Still a good...

Went there for my birthday last night and it was AWESOME! If you love Portuguese flavors this is a MUST try!! The staff are so friendly, the owners are such nice people and it truly feels like your eating at a families dinner table!

We shared a seafood platter and mixed meat platter that came with salad, rice and beans, chips and plantains, a delicious pitcher of passion fruit sangria, a few appetizers, calamari- yum! Grilled octopus- amazing and buffalo wings- a hit! The flan was so good and my little ones had such a good time and loved the food too! Definitely coming back to this gem that's so cozy!

I used to love Antonios in Oceanside, if you are familiar with them, then Manolos is the place to go to! It's EVEN BETTER

They are buzzing with people so make reservations and be a little patient on the weekends. The wait is worth it!

Decided to try this spot where Everest was. They opened less than 1 week ago. Started with the Collard Green soup. It was outstanding. Had the Stuffed Mushrooms. Crazy crazy flavor, also outstanding and a wow!!! Salad came with the entree. Ended with Shrimp in Green sauce with fresh mixed veggies dominated by the string beans along with fingerling potatoes which she offered rice instead of the potatoes which I wish I would have acted on. I think rice should be the choice and potatoes as the option. This dish was also outstanding. Shrimp were super fresh. Because they do not have their liquor license she OK'd to BYOB. Great. Come and bring your own wine. Sure they just opened and are figuring things out. Will definitely be back sooner than later....
