Michael's Billiards — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

A place I haven't known about till someone told me about it, so you can pass by it without knowing what it is. That being said I was quite surprised as it is a two level establishment with a great sized pool hall on the main level and a equally as big upstairs that can house plenty of entertainment depending on what you are looking for.

When I went there it was "comedy night" which was cool but me personally trying to get my band booked for a gig there seemed impossible as they are apparently not doing that as much if at all. Which is a shame not just for my band but as a place that could be a definitively legit spot for bands to perform with more then enough room, sound wise as well as location and environment.

Not sure where they are going in a direction and to whom they are catering to but it is indeed a bit of a disappointment knowing that place is around and could house plenty of entertainment but chooses not to. And just to throw in, the owner is very pleasant and personable but for whatever reason the place is not being utilize to its fullest potential.

ZERO STARS. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPLETE SCAM. MICHAELS BILLIARDS IS A SCAM, I'd I could leave a zero star review I would. I would frequently attend this hall for pool on Friday and Saturday nights. I purchased a pool cue from the owner Michael without doing research on the cue. he had me believe that I was getting a good price of $70. after going to another pool hall the next day I was confronted but a fellow player to check out my cue and low and behold the shift was bent. after storing it upright and having it in the case. I tried calling to ask if they wouldn't honor a return on the cue after paying 70 dollars for a cue. less then a week from when I got the cue. after doing research the cue that I bought from him was only 25 dollars online and the case is $20. I understand is a family owned business but still not fair to rip hard working people off and not honer a return. less than a week from purchase. the billiards itself is way too expensive. much better price at skyline billiards in Brooklyn NY $20 per person for 5 hours or $25 per person for 8 hours!!! please...

I just moved into the neighborhood a couple of months ago and I honestly have to say that from the (OWNERS) Mike, Michael and the rest of the family that I’ve never felt such a warm welcoming before it’s really kind of awesome every time I walk in the door! The place itself is diverse between pool tables, darts,video games, multiple TVs with all the games on ,jukebox just to name a few!! They have food on premises and also have food trucks so you have options!! They have a great pool league contact Mike for more info as well as Thursday Night Country Night and dancing , to Comedy Nights! I Call it CHEERS because that’s the way it makes me feel , just the atmosphere, energy and ambience is definitely a place to check out for yourself and enjoy!!! Besides the Owners the rest of the staff is awesome and very friendly really happy I started coming here and the above is the reasons I keep coming back !
