Food is a hit or miss: it’s either good or it’s absolutely terrible but never even enough to be satisfactory. Service is absolutely horrible and the below average quality of food is not enough to make up for it. Poor establishment altogether. Save your money you’re better off going to one of the other 50 different pizzerias in the area. I order from here regularly and order the same dish every time (chicken parm). I don’t think there has ever been a time where I received my complete order without having to call and have them send the delivery driver to deliver what I did not receive. Every time I call, I am clear with exactly what I would like and even include the fact that there have been multiple occasions where my requests are deliberately ignored, and I’m assured everything will be there and it never is. I keep going back because when they pay attention and carefully make the dish, it is exceptional, however there have been so many instances where it is not the quality I’ve been given before. It’s a really big gamble. I call to let them know I’m dissatisfied as the chicken was unmistakably old, only for the owner to deliberately tell me I was served a “bad piece of chicken” with no sense of remorse and not even an offer to at least replace the bad piece I paid for. He then proceeds hang up the phone on me. Embarrassing that I’ve been giving my business to this poor establishment for so long in hopes that they would do better....
Read morePlaced a Seamless order at 4:20pm. Really rainy night so we expected long delays. Waited until 6pm before calling for status. Girl who answered the phone (very nice) confirmed the address and said it was out for delivery. At 6:50pm we called back, girl who picked up couldn’t find our order. She put someone else on the phone (who is not at all nice) who proceeded to advise us that they never received our order. We asked why we were told the order was on its way an hour earlier. He essentially said they just assumed it was out for delivery because “the rack was empty”. Then he asked us why we wouldn’t just call the restaurant - “I don’t understand why you would use Seamless”. (Why participate with Seamless if you’re going to berate your customers for using it?) We said “so that’s it?” Hoping he would try to make it right. He says “pretty much”. We told him we’ll be calling Umbertos instead and then he hung up on us.
Even though we didn’t get our order, I would have considered going back to Phil’s in the future. After the conversation we just had, however, I will NEVER step foot in that...
Read moreI went to Phil’s with my friends just to grab a quick slice. I was surprised that there were more flies in the establishment than people. There were also hundreds of crumbs lining the edges of the booths with gluey oil on the table. Prices will raise a dollar per week as Phil needs to pay the bills. It doesn’t end there. I handed the cashier a 5 dollar bill for a 3.50 purchase and he takes it without me insisting to keep the change. Keep in mind there is no service here other than providing the food (no waitress/busboy).
