I have been going to Town Bagel since 2014 (mainly the one in Bellmore because I used to work right across the street. It was so good I would drive from Brentwood to Bellmore just for my breakfast sandwich. So naturally when I moved right down the road from the Wantagh location, I was excited.

Not ONCE have they gotten my order right. They refuse to toast a bagel even when repeatedly asking over the phone to do so, bacon is almost never crispy like asked, and egg tastes like they never season it (like asked when we order). Regardless, there are ALWAYS multiple problems with my order. I've spoken to the manager (Danny) more times than any other food establishment and I've been given credit when they make mistakes, and the mistakes STILL HAPPENED. This morning I placed an order for an extra toasted bagel with cream cheese, asked them FOUR TIMES OVER THE PHONE. Even said "well done" and it was barely toasted. They CANNOT get right any food order right. it's sad.

No one cares when you call, there is no customer service. When you tell them it's wrong they sigh and drag their feet and after a while, the manager magically seems to never be there to respond to complaints. He hides because he knows his staff and customer service are weak. It's truly disappointing after loving their food so much, they can't even toast a piece of bread correctly. Wrong/missing items from food delivery, not the first or second time this happened here... and neither UberEats or the store seem to care about making things right. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's the "Oh well, too bad" attitude that bothers me... which is evident in these interactions and in the way the staff acts when you're in the store, from the time you go up to order they often act like they're annoyed to be there and dealing with you. With the mistakes in the order, the manager's only solutions were a reluctant offer to come there to get it (except we needed delivery, not pickup, that's why we paid the delivery fee), or a supposed credit for "next time" I physically come in (except he made sure to tell me he's going on vacation next week and he "can't promise anyone else in the store" will honor it - doesn’t seem like there could possibly be any way to solve that problem with just the tiniest bit of effort, right?) Ultimately I had to ask my husband to go pick up a corrected order, which he could only do later (after I had already missed our Sunday brunch ritual with my family), and that felt like I had to pry it out of them, like the store was doing me a favor. Last time this place made an error like this, the manager fought with me and didn’t want to do anything at all to make it right. Worst experience ever! Why? At 2pm after getting some quick lunch with my family they decided to clean the floors with bleach or ammonia. Within minutes my family and I were nauseous and dizzy from the fumes. We were forced to leave fast. The place had about a dozen people inside eating or waiting in line. Who dumps toxic chemicals in an eating establishment with food while there are people inside? When my wife went to complain and find out what's going on the staff seemed confused and barely apologized. I am now sitting in my car lightheaded and sick along with my two toddlers. This place will never earn my business again. My hope is the owner may one day read this and change obvious business practice for customers in the future. It's common sense. Do not pour chemicals with fumes in a place that serves food while people are eating.

On top of it the food was horrible. I had the chicken sandwich and it tasted like jello chicken. Gooey with every bite. Not crisp fresh chicken. Probably processed. Biggest mistake ever eating here. I threw everything away after maybe 4 bites and my family did not each much...
