I stopped going to the Sonic in Valley Stream because of the issues. Any time I tried to order something different, it wouldn't come right and I'd get an argument, even by the manager. I thought this Sonic was different, until this last time. The thing I now love is that I can customize everything with the use of their app and not have miscommunications with the person through the board. The problem comes when you order something specifically and they make it whatever way they wish. I opened my burger and it wasn't right. I gave it back to the carhop, and when it came back the second time, it was still wrong. I went into the actual restaurant and spoke to the person behind the register, who asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. The problem is that the manager argued and just handed me back the wrong burger, and wasn't going to do anything about it. The problem at this point is that I've had it remade twice, it was still wrong, the bun had fell on the countertop, and it was cold. Instead of just asking me how I ordered and wanted it, he refused to do anything about it. I went back to my car, fuming, and asked my mother to talk to the manager and get the money back, since he wasn't going to do anything for me. He also argued with her and kept saying he would just make it over, when she said, more than once, that she wanted a refund. She called me and said he was insisting on making it again, and asked how I had it. I was so angry, I didn't check and waited until I got home to eat it. I should have checked - yes, it was made correctly, but you can tell they were being spiteful because there was little to no condiments on the burger, unlike my first one - which was slathered in the wrong condiments. The problem is that I had my burger specifically ordered the way I like it, and three times remaking it, it was still wrong. I've called their corporate office more than once when I've had problems with the Sonic at Valley Stream, and they simply don't care. Seems there's a lot of not caring when it...
Read moreI ordered a sonic double cheese burger and I asked to please, and very kindly to put the meat on the side; I asked to prepare it exactly the same way, just meat on the side.
I check my bag and I see a double cheese burger with the meat in it.
Mistakes can happen, no big deal. They got distracted.
I tell the person at the window to please prepare it again but I re-explain to please put just the meat on the side, all else exactly the same, cheese, sauce, etc.
This time they hand me a bun with lettuce and pickles on the side, and on another container the meat with the melted cheese.
I just ask kindly to make it again and very patiently, but you can feel the attitude from the whole staff, they just don't want to make it that way, they just won't do it right.
So they just slap a slice of cheese on the same container and hand it back to me.
And rather than asking for a refund or having to ask again, I just took it and left without complaining or saying anything else, I just gave up.
People shouldn't try to make you feel like you are at fault.
The order was described correctly from the beginning and the person that took it, also indicated it was a special request and communicated it correctly too.
If that's something you don't offer, don't accept the request.
Most people would have gotten seriously frustrated or would have made a scene, and not sure if I could blame them for doing so; it almost feels like they do it on purpose and you can't help but feeling they are mocking you behind the window (some sort of immature bullying), I guess because I am vegetarian and dared to ask for meat on the side, I deserved the treatment.
I am always nice and polite and tip anyone because I know what it means to work hard, for long hours and for little pay.
This was my last time...
Read moreA tourist attraction that has finally been brought to NY! I used to LOVE to get Sonic when the family would take it's summer vacation to Lancaster, PA. So, when I saw the sign that Sonic was coming right to my home stomping grounds, words could not describe my excitement. I was counting down the days until the opening and when I went the day of opening, there was a line of cars so long, it stretched out onto the road(insert sad emoji). When I finally was able to get in(around a week or so later), I was so excited. I swear, it must have taken me 10 minutes to decide. I have to say, their burgers are a lot more filling than they look. After the SuperSonic Double Cheeseburger, with tots, I was so full, but I had already ordered the Oreo Blast. I walked out of there so full, I could barely move. The Bacon Cheeseburger Toaster is missing the 'toast' part. It is as soft(if not softer) than a traditional bun. I love the whole roller-skating concept. Even if you don't want to use the car-hop, they have a pretty spacious dining room. Sonic's specials are pretty good too. When Sonic has their specials for $0.50 Corn Dog, do not be mistaken, they aren't mini. They are full-sized. I made that mistake by ordering multiple of them in addition to my usual burger. The 1/2 priced Tuesday Cheeseburger is a good deal, but it is only good on the single cheeseburger(I made that mistake once). The 1/2 priced shakes & slushies every night after 8pm is a better deal than I thought it would be. Unless you have a massive appetite(or don't want to go into a food coma), choose. Either 'dinner' or dessert because you will NOT have room for both. I have made Sonic one of my fast...
