WILL NOT LET ME PUT NO STARS. Will never go here again! I am very ill and after treatment I finally got an appetite. I ordered for pick up and my husband was good enough to go pick it up. As soon as he gets home my phone rings and I am told my husband took the wrong order home ( he paid for it too). I was told they repeated the order to him and he said yes that is mine. However, my husband said he heard the kid say part of our order and said yes that is mine. He was apparently given the wrong bag and paid for the bag he was given. (They made it sound like our fault not that they didn't hand off the wrong bag). They want him to bring it back as the customer who ordered it was at the store waiting for his order ( the one given to us) They were going to have us bring the food back and just hand it to the other customer. It is my understanding that that is against the Board of Healths policies. You must discard food given in error and not just Gove to to someone else. I wanted them to come pick it up and was told no to bring it back. I am livid at the way the boy treated us as if we were some thieves sho stole the food that was paid for. Admittedly, I became upset and was stressed. My husband left to return the food and I get another call about it more disrespectful than the first ( the way I felt) I told the guy to relax that actually since we paid for it it was our to with what we please eat it or throw it out or return it as we paid for it and that they should have picked it up and exchanged it and if they wouldn't to just relax as my husband was on his way. After a few minutes I became more upset and called to speak wit the owner. I have been there many times without a problem I explained. I told him I got there because the food is good and he and the young girl who works there ( with the accent) are always nice and I have never had a problem. As I explain the issue and how I felt disrespected ( I don't care that they don't think they were disrespectful, they cannot invalidate how I was made to feel) he said what can I do to fix it. I said nothing, the food is on its way back and I want a refund and to cancel my order. Then a young girl gets not the phone (his daughter) and again begins to get loud and rude. I told her I was speaking to her father just fine without an issue and I had felt disrespected by the guy that called ( her brother she said). She denied it and said all 3 listened to the call. I explained I don't care if you think it wasn't rude or improper that is how I felt, like I was a thief. She said she doesn't want a fight or problem but kept raising her tone and talking over me then hung up on me. Then when my husband brings back the food they try and only refund us for our original order that we didn't get instead of the proper amount paid. He had to have the boy come up front and tell the father in fact he paid more than was trying to be reimbursed. I have never had such a disgusting experience with a restaurant. The attitudes and lack of respect are disgusting but nothing compared to adding insult to injury and trying to cheat us out of our money. I will never go there again and I will make sure all my friends, family and co-workers who live in the are (or not) know what happened so they can...
Read moreUp until today , this place , I swore as being the best fast food Mexican place I have ever had . For at least 6 years , 1st time I ate there was after a Cosmos game , I have told anyone who would listen , how delicious this place was . I even went in and met the Owner , who personally made my order . A few months ago we saw the sign had changed and we called to ask if it was same owner ; which they said it was . Today , we ordered , and it was a huge disappointment; never before have I said that . Everything changed , the burrito wrap was not fresh , it was one of those premade wraps you buy at grocery store . The rice was unflavored . The protein was unflavored . It was at best bland . This is not the original owner nor did it taste as a Mexican dish.I will look elsewhere. FYI, my family eat halal food ,, lamb , usually once a week. This has everything to do with the flavor .
So, not to go back and forth, bc at the end of the day I am not trying to be mean, but the sign has changed, it was Tacos Perfectos for a long time, and then the sign added Halal to the end. That is why I thought/think the owner has changed. Halal does not change the flavoring of the dishes, as I have enjoyed many a halal dish. So it means the ownership has changed. This is not solely about a chef being on vacation, bc the burrito wrap used is a generic wrap you can find in the Goya section of any supermarket, not the obviously freshly made, soft ones used in the past. And if this is about a chef being on vacation. then my advice is close the store and take vacation when they do, subpar food just loses customers...
Read moreFood was not tasty at all. Received extra chips allegedly for a family of four but it was barely a paper tray worth and they were incredibly stale. It was edible but I wouldn’t subject myself nor my family to this food again. Went on a Friday or Saturday night around 645/7. No one was there. We were there for over an hour and no one came either. No delivery nor take out orders. Door was wide open so numerous bugs including on our food. It was crazy hot and humid. The guy was nice.
EDITED to respond to owner: So because the chips are free… I shouldn’t comment on their staleness I guess. Just appreciate we received free stale chips. Secondly, if I wanted more, I should’ve asked … how about your team should have offered more. That’s what good service would have been. You are correct that Volume of customer is not a direct comment on quality. However, it is indicative of how good your establishment is. If the food was phenomenal, more people would come. If the value for the food was great, more people would come. Everyone can infer when a restaurant is empty, consistently, there’s something wrong and it won’t stay in business long. I’m not sure what “different agenda” you think I have. You think I’m sort of shell account or shill for another taco place? I’m a regular person, not the owner of the restaurants next door to you or something trying to put you out of business. Seems like you’re doing a good job of that yourself with the way things are going and the way...
