We decided to give Vincent's Steakhouse a try, especially since there were so many excellent reviews on Facebook in the local groups.

My friend and I are both part of Long Island Foodies, so it is nice to give great feedback for a place that truly deserves it. The staff are very hard working and accomodating. Vincent, the owner, made space for us even though we made a last-minute reservation. He is truly a great guy who runs a wonderful establishment.

There is limited parking out front but plenty out back. The interior of the restaurant is simple but classy. On Friday nights, there are live bands. Tonight's band played a lot of songs from the Rat Pack. It was quite a sophisticated atmosphere.

There is no dress code, but most people dressed appropriately. There were a few young couples dressed in jeans, but that's their generation for you.

Vincent's has a very nice cocktail selection and wine selection to choose from.

On their main menu, the appetizers are very appealing. You may wind up trying more than you can eat.

Tonight, we opted to try their pre fixe menu for Restaurant Week. Everything was delicious! Jessica, our beautiful and ever so polite server, recommended the Beer Cheese Soup. It was spectacular, to say the least. I normally would never have tried it, but all of her suggestions were spot on. My friend ordered the mussels, which came with a zesty broth, just the smell of the garlic made your mouth water.

They served us cornbread with jalapeƱos and a cinnamon butter. The bread was fabulous, but I'm not a fan of the cinnamon, so we opted for regular whipped butter.

The portions are not skimpy whatsoever. In fact, there was a lot of food leftover that we took home.

This is the perfect spot for date night, getting together with friends or family or even dining alone. The music just makes the environment very inviting.

I look forward to coming back here very soon. The reviews did not do this place justice. It was that good. I'd have to say this is in my top 10 restaurants on...

The food was good. We ordered the Porterhouse Steak for 2 and it was cooked to our liking… Once the server came to our table, the service was attentive however he was busy so it took a while to place our order but he did come over to acknowledge us and said he’d be back to take our order. What gave me a sour taste in my mouth about this restaurant was that I made a reservation 2 weeks prior because it was for my birthday and when we entered the restaurant and told them about our reservation, the hostess at the desk said it will be a wait because we are very busy… the attitude my husband and I received upon entering was we don’t really care if you stay or leave… the younger girl at the desk said to the woman I think there is a table in the back. We waited about 5 minutes and then were seated at a small table in the back near the bathroom… As said before, the food was good but seriously I would rather eat where my business is...

Worst experience ever. Spent over $400 for cold food and bad service

Update - My friend is always raving about this place so my husband and I decided to give it another shot since when we went they had just opened. I stand by my earlier review. Atmosphere appears dated. Waitress was horrible. Took over 40 minutes to get our appetizer. The whipped spread she brought out for the corn bread was frozen. When I asked if it was supposed to be like that she at first said yes and then asked if we would like regular bread and butter. I was wondering if they had any non-frozen. The food was fine no issues there and they are not overly pricey compared to other steakhouses (only reason they got 3 stars) , but I cannot get over the now twice bad service. Also not to sound bougie but the atmosphere is bleak I don't think they changed much from when it was a pizzeria prior. We will...

Wonderful establishment one block from train station, nice ride outside NYC, was blown away by the fried shrimp appetizer, drinks were fantastic, steak was great no condiments needed, or even salt for that matter. Will be returning when back in town to try the burger since I was torn on ordering this or that. Looking forward to our next plates at this place because coming from Chicago to here I was impressed with the food and service, very personable and hands-on owner, present greeting guests to the place which was packed full, private party on other side of wall. Apparently owners have another Mexican restaurant somewhere nearby called Matteo’s Cantina so I’ll be checking that at too…ciao! Don’t miss this place if you want good Italian, and proper portions.

We have placed numerous pick up orders thru grub hub that would always be incorrect. Finally called to let the restaurant know about my $50 dollar-2 burger order being wrong, again. No apology at any point on a call that was over 3 minutes. She (Francine?) proceeded to inform me it's not their fault, grub hub takes the payment. If the person who picked up the phone cared even 1%, they would have heard the payment nor the price is the issue. I was placed on hold while she spoke to Vincent, the owner, and he confirmed somehow grub hub is to blame for a lack of care or concern. I asked for only Provolone cheese on one burger. See the photo's. Keep in mind the owner's only interest was passing the blame to grub hub. Shameful on every level.
