"Counter Staff *Nobody* is to take home pizza/food after a shift unless a) Your closing and you can pick from leftover pizza B) You pay for it! -Mike" Heres a multifaceted take on why you shouldnt post an embarassing sign like this in the front of the store. Or in the back 1. You should have respect for your employees. I cant imagine theyre rolling in the dough (no pun intended) and this is embarassing to them, some of them are even kids. I cant imagine they're throwing pizza parties daily. Even if they took home some slices or a pie that should be a perk of working at a pizzeria. Making them look/feel like thieves for eating food is sleazy. 2. Pizza is cheap to make. 3. Saying "employees only get to take leftovers at closing time" is the same as saying "the cold reheated pizza is for the customers during the day." 4. The AC wasnt even running in this place. What's the loss on feeding a few of your employees? They wanna eat pizza every single day? What kind of circumstances would they be in to be that desperate, and if they were; where's the compassion for that? Maybe I'll change my review, but this isn't the kind of thing I want to see when I come in. I don't want to imagine people cant even eat here after working there either; I'd rather not eat food made by disgruntled employees. If the employees were happy about it you wouldnt have posted a sign like this. Dont take this out on them, this is on you. There's like 3 pizza places within walking distance of this spot. This attitude spoils the food. Rather eat somewhere else.

I come here for the Vodkarita pizza because it’s the best thing I’ve ever had. My younger kids are picky and will only eat pepperoni pizza. I pick up my order, drive home (like 15 minutes)… tell everyone to come get pizza… the vodkarita pizza is amazing as always, but the other pizza was completely plain, just cheese, no pepperoni, and completely burned underneath. Money wasted, because my kids won’t eat that, (neither would I) and now they are SOL because I can’t get another pizza. Pretty disappointed because this is the second time this happened and I usually always recommend this place to everyone. There are like 5 pizza places in my own town, and I probably pass about 10 more on my way to pick this pizza up. Please double check your orders and if the pizza is burned on the bottom don’t just send it out. Obviously I’m not going to open the box at the counter upon picking up, take a slice flip it over… let’s be reasonable.

Left this review under one of the social media accounts I manage by mistake. The owner brings up the business of the account I posted under, thinking this person is the one who left the review. Here is the review I left and no, I am not the owner of any food business, I am 26 as you can ask the employee you said you talked to. I have worked in the food business and know how to ask a customer, "How are you" and not publicly state a business you think I work at. I'll call you tomorrow Mike. Came in as staff was closing up and just ignored me while I waited for my pizza. Got home and it was cold in the middle. Called and girl just didn't care. this place needs to go. East northport NEEDS GOOD PIZZA .. Ate the hot parts so no need for a refund, just never going into your place again. Edit- Oh and no plate so my pizza slid in box lol but thankfully it wasn't hot so the cheese didn't slide off. What an embarrassment

Here we go… went here for an event after lunch. Staff was as best they could be. 35 people and they had one server and one bus boy. They did great considering how overworked the boss had them. The food. Bread - fresh garlic knots with no sauce. Knots were good - butter needed - sauce would of been preferred but was a tell to things to come obviously… cheaping out from the get go.. Took the order but then only asked for your salad order…when you take the order for catering you do the whole thing- there’s no reason to do double duty by not once but twice moving around the crowd to then get a dinner order… so strange.

Pasta? Yikes. They used old pasta clearly reheated by steaming. Worst part was it wasn’t pasta from even the last few days. I’ve worked in a pizzeria/restaurant that did the same trick. This was minimum 3 day old pasta sitting in a vat in the fridge. Obviously they choose this for catering to stack their used pasta to save food cost. Man…. I forked a penne noodle and without even breaching the first millimeter it split in half. Yikes. The taste? What you’d expect from leftover pasta… seriously what does it take to make a fresh pot of pasta? 35 people? Get a 100 quart pot of water boiling slam 6-8 lbs in for 8 minutes and toss in your top sauce… is it so hard? It’s a Sunday. You aren’t slammed. Don’t use a catering job as your opportunity to get rid of what you didn’t use Monday through Saturday. Absolute embarrassment. Chicken parm was clearly old. Breaded days before. You can tell when it separates following cooking. Huge air pockets when served, dry, shake shame shame. Someone is paying what to them is big money for a decent job and what was offered was what I would expect from a lunch room cafeteria. Stay away from chefs of New York. Go to La Famiglia or something comparable for what, 100 bucks more? They got 2 stars because the service was working their rear ends off. The manager/owner whoever he was could of cared less...

The pizza is decent, but the service , or lack there of is undeniably terrible. They seem incredibly overwhelmed lately , and will tell you 30 minutes to pick up an order . Be warned , you’ll go to their establishment and wait another 30-45 minutes more to receive your order, cold . Mike Jr who is the owners son is rude and unsympathetic, and not willing to acknowledge or value your time. Plenty of competition where they know how to treat customers. I would suggest not patronizing Chefs

This is edit to my original review .

A few things . As you can see in Mikes replies. He has difficulties taking responsibility and validating customers . And in defense of his tirade, it was not 25 minutes, it was much more, and I never demanded my food for free , you can ask your father Mike senior , I spoke with him about that after Mike Jr hung up on me If a business tells you 30 minutes, they should honor that commitment. If they can’t, at least be understanding that our time is valuable also . I’m sorry but … is not an apology Mike . Anyone reading these reviews can see that. There is a pattern of “Mike is rude”, and the reason why people are walking...
