Golden Express Chinese Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of Huntington

Update: they need to get their act together. Didn’t answer all day Saturday 11-13-21 and they finally answered around 5 pm. I placed an order and had to wait a half hour on the line to pick up my order because there was only 1 cook and only 1 person at front. She let the phone ring and ring at dinner time on a Saturday night!! I think they may be under new ownership or they don’t pay their staff a living wage so they quit. Piles of supplies and boxes stacked up to the ceiling and all over inside. I will not be going back anymore.

I have been going to this take out style Chinese restaurant for the last twenty years. The food is incredible. the staff understands what Spicy means !! (few places do) Must try an Egg Roll, it is the Only place I will get them (spoiled). Prices are reasonable and similar to local restaurants of the same caliber. I drive 20 minutes just to get to Golden Express to place my order. Lunch time weekday crowds can overflow the place Kung Po Chicken comes highly recommended all vegetables are crisp and fresh. I recently ordered the chicken with eggplant and the chicken with string beans from Golden Express, and both dishes were fantastic! The chicken was tender and well-seasoned in both entrées. The eggplant was soft without being mushy and soaked up the savory sauce perfectly. The string beans were crisp and fresh, adding a nice contrast to the flavorful chicken. Portion sizes were generous. Definitely one of my go-to spots for quick, delicious Chinese takeout....
