Laurel Road Cafe & Deli — Restaurant in Town of Huntington

What an awesome Cafe. So, it started when my Brother came to visit and said ~"do you know there is an organic coffee shop right down the block?" I responded with "What?!!" And a beautiful relationship began. Laurel Cafe is so much more than coffee which is so refreshing and delicious. I ordered food for my family that was visiting, it looked yummy, peeking on their website. The person that answered the phone was very kind and willing. We got our food and everyone was happy and so satisfied with our choices. My Father who is super picky really enjoyed their burger with all the fixings and my Brother enjoyed the delicious Spanish food. I have been ordering ever since and have yet to find anything, I didn't like. Everything is fresh and quality, not salty, not greasy, just really delicious. Sandwiches, soups and breakfast foods are wonderful.... all the hot foods, specials, so yummy. Anything you are in the mood for they will try and accommodate. They care about their customers and they only want to make you happy. That is so hard to find these days. Will & Hector, all the employees are kind and caring. I don't think anymore, "what am I going to get today?" But, I do think how happy I am to have such a great place to count on for some yummy food when I don't want to cook. God Bless all their hard work. And thank you for serving our community with not only a great place to enjoy with quality food but a place that feels like home. I have lived in Northport 20 years and have never seen this deli. Stopped in today to pick up my BEC ordered over the phone.

They followed my order correctly (over medium eggs, cheddar cheese not American, etc) and food was great.

I also had the coffee and felt it was good.

My only complaint is that the paper my sandwich was wrapped in was stuck to the bottom of the bread and would not come off so I had to toss half of the bottom of the sandwich (I was able to get it off the other side). Might not be a bad idea to swap to a different wax paper brand.

Otherwise food was great, people were friendly, and I liked the atmosphere...

The only organic coffee option around but you can tell they are very cheap with it when they brew it. The coffee is disgustingly weak. My entire family and I love strong tasting coffee but when you go here, it taste like your drinking dirty water. Almost like a cup of hot water with a splash of coffee in it. Maybe it would taste better if you ask for a shot or two of espresso to help give it strong coffee flavor but you shouldn’t have to pay extra to get good tasting coffee nor should you have to be overloaded on caffeine to get good...
