Sushi Day — Restaurant in Town of Huntington

Sushi Day is a newly opened restaurant in Huntington serving lunch and dinner. The menu features a selection of rolls, sashimi, soup, salad, noodles, as well as a small selection of entrees. Please be warned that Sushi Day is mostly for take-out orders, as the restaurant itself has extremely limited seating for a maximum of ~8 people.

We went on a Monday afternoon at 1 pm for the lunch special. The bulgogi lunch box contained an assortment of items including miso soup, pickled vegetables, cabbage, gyoza, california roll, and the bulgogi itself. Everything tasted good, and the presentation was nice.

This is not the fanciest of sushi places, but I think it's a lovely little corner, and I hope it stays so. I have tried their sushi rolls for lunch -- you know, quick lunch but still flavorful and traditional -- and I keep returning. It's kind of a self-serve place. You order, you find a seat and you do your thing. They're not constantly catering to you, but I love how peaceful it feels and I usually leave satisfied with the food. This place is not for crowds, just kind of low-key lunches...

I never ever write reviews about a restaurant because I do not like to sound negative. However, for this one I have to. Staff was completely rude, did not know how to use the computer, and did not even know their own products. I got angry looks for no reason. The guy taking my order took literally one minute and 25 seconds to put an order of shrimp tempura and miso soup in the computer screen and the other worker in the store was bullying him.
