Our Little Italy Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Town of Islip

Beware of this Little Italy Pizza in West Islip. They are "nickle and dimeing" their customers to death with hidden fees. The reason you see the"overpriced" complaints here is that I also went there, put a simple order in and wondered how the price could be SO high and I asked to examine the receipt which many people do not do. This is how I found out they are adding several $$$ for the use of their credit card machine if you use your debit/credit card! I've NEVER seen nor heard of ANY establishment doing this but they are passing the cost of using the machine to their customers without telling them! Another HIDDEN example of being secretly overcharged, if you order Tortellini Bolognese, the menu says $15.95 which is already a premium price for a simple pasta dish. Yet gain, almost $3 was added to the price of this dish without my knowledge and when I asked WHY?! they said "oh well we add that extra money for using the tortellini pasta" WTH!? doesn't say that on the menu anywhere!!! So you end up paying over $6 or more for a small order of food and you'd never know it if you didn't question it! A greedy and disgusting practice to do that to your customers! Can you imagine multiplying this by how many people order there and pay by card in a single day how much more money they are raking in without consumer knowledge!? This is NEWS 12 Reporting scandal right here and I may contact them! I work in a very large building nearby and warn EVERYONE I see about this place and advise them to never give them business. First time ordering from here. Power has been out since Tuesday and couldn't order from my regular place as they were closed as well due to the power outage. I ordered a pie, a Greek salad with grilled chicken, Cesar salad with grilled chicken and fried chicken wings. My daughter, husband and myself were amazed how delicious everything really was. My grandaughter who is 3 years old ate 2 slices of pizza and she is a picky eater so that says alot. My husband is a finicky eater who has to have his chicken wings fried right and he couldn't stop raving about them. It's hard to find chicken wings that aren't fried in old oil and taste like that. These wings were not only fresh but perfectly seasoned and fried. I have to say I lived in Bay Shore most of my life and tried pizza from many places this pizza by far is the best I have tasted and that is second by my toughest critics, my husband, daughter and granddaughter. Today I was a new customer but from here on in I am a returning customer!...

I used to be a big fan of this place — their salad slices and regular slices were always a go-to for me. But unfortunately, my experience today left me really disappointed.

We ordered five slices from the window, only to watch the customers who ordered after us not only get their food first, but actually receive the exact slices we had requested. When we asked about our order, we were told they no longer had those slices available. To make matters worse, our food wasn’t even put in the oven until about 15 minutes after we had placed our order — after others had already been served fresh, hot slices from the oven.

It felt like our order was forgotten or deprioritized, and the lack of communication made it even more frustrating. I’ve always recommended this spot to others, but after today, I’m not sure I’ll be back...
