Fatty T’s Burger Shack — Restaurant in Town of Islip

Fatty T's was an unexpected surprise. It's a small food truck right in the corner of 5th Ave Bayshore and the sunrise highway exit. The owner was very friendly and upbeat ! It was my first time there and he made the experience easy going and fun. The food was ready in 15 min or so ( made to order) and the flavors were exceptional. The burgers are meaty and full with ingredients and for the price you pay, it's an amazing deal. If your someone who's very health conscious this might not be for you but it is great for a post workout meal. You'll definitely refuel your body . The atmosphere is a bench on the corner of the highway exit which isn't bad if you don't mind the whole town watching you while you eat. Absolutely amazing. I didnt take pictures because I was too busy inhaling the burger, fries and chips! Honestly best burger on the south shore. Classic nostalgia taste and super affordable. Super quality ingredients and I cannot think of a single bad thing. Went around 2:30 on a Saturday with my boyfriend and he only had 10 burgers left for the day so make sure to get a great lunch! This place is a must try! The love and care put into each burger is phenomenal. Definitely a head above the rest when it comes to burgers!

The fries and chips - freshly sliced. The burgers - prime. The buns - homemade. And the owner’s love for what he’s doing - infectious. Prices can’t be beat.

Easy to get to - it’s a food truck right off Sunrise on 5th Ave in Bay Shore. They have a picnic table if you want to eat there, but I got mine to go.
