Housers Bar — Restaurant in Town of Islip

We went in there with a group of girls for my friend’s bachelorette party and I purchased 2 drinks for myself and the bride to be and it was $40. I made a comment about the price to the bar tender and he put his hand in my face and was so incredibly rude. Mind you, I paid it but having never been to fire island I was just very surprised. The bar tender proceeded to be rude so I took the cash tip I originally put down for him, off the table. I told him because of how he was acting I was taking it away and I drank my drink at the doorway near security. I wanted to finish my $20 drink. I removed myself from the volatile and hostile man. The security guy apologized and was kind. While I was standing there trying to finish my drink, calmly, minding my business, the rude bar tender came outside to tell the security guy that I had taken his cash tip off the bar and to kick me out. He was yelling and waving his arms around like a crazy person. That man had some serious issues and I was scared he was out of control. I explained it was my own tip I took off the bar because he was extremely rude. The security guy apologized again and allowed me to finish my drink and my friends and I left. We will never go there again because the drinks are expensive but more importantly the bar tender was extremely rude, out of line, out of control and really put a damper on our fun night out. Worst bar experience of my life hands down. I was kicked out of the bar for being underage, even though I am 22 with a real ID. The bartender, who is dumber than a door knob, asked me for the capital of my home state of Colorado. Easy - I said Denver - to which he responded, "NOPE!" I imagine yelling that brought him back to a time long ago when his parents still had a glimmer of hope he could be more than just a village idiot. Then he and another bartender, who also had an IQ akin to the dirt underneath my toenails, escorted me out of the bar yelling expletives all along the way and telling me to come back when I am 21. The only reason I even rated this dirty shack a 1 star is because Google doesn't allow a 0 star rating. If you look like you might be under 30, please find a different bar. Absolutely horrible experience!!! We were there with a big wedding party and having a great time dancing until the bartender told us to stop making so much noise to a great song that came on. Pretty much trying to be a “fun killer” which is mind boggling being this late in the season to the point that he had us kicked out of the bar for having a great time and making too much noise. We were there for the after party from a wedding at Mcguarie’s on Friday 9/19 and had a great time at Macquaries but for some reason this bartender was not in the mood for people having fun at the bar. We wound up all going next door to mermaids instead and had a great time!!!! I would NEVER ever reccomend going here!!! This place is just awful ! Plenty of other places to go...
