Knights of Bay Shore Catering — Restaurant in Town of Islip

My close friend booked this for her mother's 60th Birthday Surprise party and it was beautiful! Mot sure what come with or what services had to be booked separately but the food catering and the drinks bar they had we mediocre. The food was just one we had fries for the kids. Mini salad plates and bread on the side. Shrimp. Lasagna. Meat. And rice i think? Between 5 platters they had 2 people serving in this back room. And the portions were small. But you could go back up for seconds. They were nice tho when I asked for just a plate of fries for the kids. The bar only had one person serving but it was small in the wall. We weren't drinking tho we just kept gettin Shirley temples haha. So can't comment on the alcohol quality bottom or top shelf quality. The hall was nice. Tables chairs and table cloths provided. The center prices and flowers had a mix of real and fake flowers. The overall space was nice and lots of room on the dance floor area for the band/music and the camera people they booked. They were great too but I think they weren't part of KoC. They had bathrooms right outside the hall doors. Convient. And plenty of parking. However the place was harder to find from the street/highway. I was using waze. Couldn't find it then turned on the side road and used Google for directions. And found the back way in thru the side streets. I don't think they have a direct entrance thru the street however. So if your trying to find it go ahead and turn down one of...

This review is two months late. My husband and I were recommended to the Knights of Columbus catering hall for our wedding through family and ended up using their Bayshore location on July 13th of this year. We cannot express enough positive things about this experience. We started off with a restaurant that was miscommunicating and quite frankly driving us insane. To land upon Sal and his group was a Godsend. As with any bride, I was severely anxious about this day and everything going well. Sal reassured me numerous times that everything would go perfect. The food was incredible. We barely had any leftovers to take home with us, especially the seafood pasta with the works, there was nothing left. The decorators did a phenomenal job taking this room that appeared to be a little basic and turned it into the most stunning room for our simple desired wedding. I wish I took more pictures of the room and some of the food but unfortunately it slipped my mind. The photobooth person was punctual and provided many different things to use as props. Everyone is still raving about the cake that we had for the wedding. Everyone involved in the process went above and beyond on this day to make it perfect. We recently had our daughter’s 1st birthday at the Knights Of Columbus, (Bay Shore) and it was nothing short of awesome! Sal, the manager/event planner was VERY easy to work with and his staff was very efficient. The bartender, Dennis, made sure all of our guests were having a good time with the open bar. Marissa, our hostess/waitress always made sure we were doing great and our guests were taken care of. She set up the room to look very nice before the party and helped my family and I set things up beforehand, as well. Overall, all the staff working were happy, flexible and very accommodating throughout the whole party (especially with lots of little kids running around).

Best of all, and you honestly would not expect it, but the food was absolutely INCREDIBLE! People are still talking about how good the food was weeks later! We are looking forward to having another event here when the time comes. Thank you...
