The older woman I’m assuming is the owner was nasty and was like charge him extra for this and charge him extra for that and then at the end was like oh your using a card and my sandwich went from 13 to 15 bucks and I’m like ok what ever . Didn’t feel comfortable felt like I didn’t belong there. Her husband I’m assuming was an older gentleman and he was nice but what ever he said didn’t matter she went over him and even other employees were asking him advice and had nothing to do with her and she stopped helping me just to go over and look at what they were doing and told the employee to do what she wanted not what her hauled said then came back to me : I’m like this getting a little Rediculous over here but you know what there sandwiches used to be good so I was like deal with it get your sandwich and leave. Read moreOven Lovin has been a pride of Holbrook for a few decades now, originally occupying what is now the Lombardi's Congelati building. They are a family owned and operated business that serves heroes, pizza, italian dinners, and an option or two for the kids like chicken fingers (not mystery meat!) and french fries. Food is typically picked up or delivered as there is not much room (four or so tables for two) for eating in. They also cater!
The only thing one could find unappealing about Oven Lovin are the hours: they open late morning and are closed by 8 o'clock Monday-Thursday, 9 o'clock on Friday, and 6 o'clock on Saturday. They are only open on Sundays for catering. So get your orders in early! Many a time I've wanted to order a late dinner to glance at the clock and see it's 7:57.
For the cost-conscious, Oven Lovin manages to keep prices pretty fair given the high quality of the food and the inability to bulk purchase wares like larger franchised businesses.
For the quality conscious I would say this: given the option of Oven Lovin or Subway up the road for heroes, I would recommend going to Oven Lovin every time. Their pizza tastes great and the garlic knots are the juiciest, garlic-iest knots you'll find around, drizzled in a garlic...
Read moreThe best in town by far! Always great hero's and dishes but better yet we ordered a 6 foot hero, 2 3 ft 1 American 1 Italian, get the pickle olive platter too you won't regret it. Here's the thing FRESH! Fresh cold cults fresh bread easy to chew, unlike so many other places when you get this super sandwich it will melt in your mouth. No kidding that monster slice was delicious because of it's freshness. I took some of this sweet peppers from the side platter and added it to the Italian side. The olives are as big as your eyes. Wiped out, nothing left, gone. Several people asked and when I mentioned I've Lovin several noted, that's why. Showing the excellent reputation they have in the area. Go an extra mile and order from here. It's the Freshness that matters. BTW pu before 11am on Sunday, mark it down. Great...
