I hadn't been to Irish Times in years so I was excited to go there for a celebration meal. I had been there in the past for a few meals and of course drinking and dancing on a Friday or Saturday night (obviously, before Covid). I don't like to say things like this, especially when I know the food and drinks are good, but boy were we disappointed with the service for our dinner. There is a theory within our group that because we were a larger party, the server knew the tip was included at 20% so there just wasn't effort put in. Recognizing that is was a Saturday night and as I mentioned we were a larger group, we expected the food to take some time, but that was not the issue. Twice we had to ask another employee to send the server to our table for water refills, more drinks and to order our food. The follow up stop bys and check ins were just not happening throughout our time there. Other than one burger being undercooked, which to be honest happens at many places when you order a hockey puck because you don't like any pink, the food was great and so were the drinks! The other thing to note is that even though we were in the dining room area, not the bar area, they had the doors propped open so it was very loud. The music and people talking over the music made it very difficult to talk to the people at our own table. Being aware that it is a Pub, on a Saturday night, it would have been a different experience if they could have just closed the doors. Maybe next time for a meal, we just order...
Read moreI wish I could give this place more stars, but your bartenders aren't great. They apparently think that going to work is hang out time, and the guests seem to intervene in that time. I'm not understanding why they think that work time is also hangout time. I was there the last Sunday of March, we headed to the bar after enjoying dinner. I asked if anyone was sitting in the spot that was clearly vacant besides one chair and her response was, "yea, that's why there's things there," to which I responded, "exactly why I'm asking because the two next to that chair don't have anything in front of them." She rolled her eyes and went back to, what I'm assuming was such an important conversation, but no, they were talking personal things. So, they are either extremely confused as to what they're supposed to be doing there, or this is normal, and if it is, it's probably time to hire better bartenders. I observed for a few more minutes to see if maybe they got the hint that it wasn't play time, and another guest came over and the attitude the bartender gave this man, and NO SMILE, would have been enough for me as a manager to send her home for the day. The server we had prior to going to the bar, great, the young man who delivered food and cleared our table, great. Girls at the bar, no thanks. We went to spend money and hang at the bar, and we...
Read moreI came to irish times pub on friday night 5/20/16 with a group of friends for drinks & a good time. As the night was winding down, i went to the bar with my brother to get a water. i was approached by two bouncers that asked me to leave because "I was too drunk & looked like i was going to vomit". After me & my brother reassured them that i was ok they asked us to leave again & we agreed to leave. As we were paying our tabs one of the bouncer's proceeds to grab me & throw me across the bar into tables & chairs & eventually out the front door. Causing personal injury to myself & my property. They ripped my jeans and shirt also causing damage to my key fob splitting it in half so i can no longer acess my vehicle until it is fixed. Mind you we did nothing beligerant or aggressive to invoke this reaction by them!!! This is just one of many incidents where the bouncers at this place have been aggressive without justification...I STRONGLY ADVISE RECONSIDERING GOING TO THIS PLACE AS THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED TO ACT PROFESSIONALLY OR EXECUTE PROPER ACTIONS...SPEND YOUR TIME & MONEY ELSEWHERE. THEIR BOUNCING STAFF IS OVERLY AGRESSIVE & BASICALLY ASSAULTED ME...
