Parkway Famous Grilled Chicken — Restaurant in Town of Islip

As a devotee of the paleo life, this is a serious go-to place for me. Grilled meat and fresh raw vegetables...say no more. (Hold the pita bread!) I've been eating here since the late 90s. The food is always fresh, the grilled chicken is amazing, the staff is extremely friendly, and after a few visits, they will know you by name. They will customize almost anything you ask for. I like to get a bed of greens with a variety of meats - chicken, roasted pork, sliced beef, a little gyro meat thrown on top, a Caesar dressing on the side...worth any price. What a gem!! This unassuming storefront is hiding fantastic food at very reasonable prices!! My daughter and I were blown away by the taste and quality of the food. Well exceeded our expectations and the customer service was exceptional. While it is mostly a take out place, there are several tables to sit and eat. The food will still be served in the take away containers, and plastic utensils are provided, but you couldn't ask for better food. You're missing out if you don't give this...

I ordered a small greek salad, with chicken gyro on the side. They tried to charge me for a greek salad and a full gyro. They took the bag back, "corrected" the order and gave it back to me. I get back to work and open the bag and take out the first styrofoam container, which I thought was chicken gyro. It was not chicken gyro, but grilled chicken with broth, that went all over my clothes and ruined them. I called them and they basically didnt care. I won't go back there again. ...
