Waitress was not friendly. Saw us come in and sit, gave us a menu 7 min after we sat and said "I'll be with you when I can."before walking away. That should have been our cue to leave. I brushed it off and decided to stay. I though maybe she had a bad morning. Ordered a BLT, and my friend ordered two eggs, with home fries, and bacon. Waited 30 min for our order. During that time three regulars walked in were seated, taken their order right away and served before we received our order. Regularly checked on her regulars a couple of times along with another group of visitors that was staying at the Alpine Lodge.

She seemed to favor a certain kind of group if you know what I mean. I was raised to always be the bigger person and treat others how you would like to be treated. So I tipped her 25% and decided we would not be coming back here. Food wise, I received partial my order and my friends seemed soaked in oil. Definitely not...

Prefacing this with we are usually very particular about food and find going out for food disappointing usually - we feel we can do better at home.

This place is literally a hidden treasure. I never thought potatoes could taste so good - they were cooked and seasoned to perfection. I'm not exaggerating when I say these were the best potatoes I've ever tasted. The corned beef is salty as expected and just perfectly crispy, so definitely a side item, not a main. You could not ask for better pricing in my opinion. A real steal!

In terms of service, the lady serving us stopped by just the perfect number of times, not so much that you'd say "please just let us eat", but not so little that you wonder if you're even getting served.

As expected for a local family breakfast and lunch place. Food was good, came out quite fast but we were one of two people in the restaurant at 10am during off season. The staff was nice and pleasant and seemed eager to make sure we were well taken care of. The atmosphere is very straight-forward with no-frills about it, not the fanciest place.
