Momiji Sushi & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Marbletown

I enjoyed the food here. The rolls were smaller in diameter than I'm used to (more narrow) but that was made up for in length so basically the same, just different. If that makes sense. Essentially it's just appearance that's different. The quality is great. It's fresh. You see it being made, as it should be. The chefs are skillful and quick and did a great job. It's a decent size dining room but there aren't many tables. There is a sushi bar which we didn't sit at so I can't comment on the service there. The iced tea was green tea which is NOT brewed green tea leaf tea but has the tea still in the liquid. It was pleasant but not at all what I was expecting or really wanted. Very grassy tasting. If in the mood, it would have been wonderful. The service was odd. We were seated, orders were taken, and we were served right away. The bill however took 20 minutes to come after our dishes were cleared. And there was only 1 other table of 2 in the restaurant. This was very odd and slightly uncomfortable as we were ready to go and had other plans. There was no explanation as to the wait. Despite this the evening was pleasant and the food was good. We've gone twice so far, we'll call it "lupper". Service was good, staff lovely. The food was not only very good, but seemed healthier than many similar restaurants. I'm an Asian food fanatic, I appreciate great food. We tried appetizers, salad, dinners and this time, a Bento box. Good portions, process and flavor. Their sauces are unique and very good. There's also comfort food for those who are not adventurous, also delicious. Their fried rice is especially delicious. As an Asian who lives upstate and deeply misses Asian food, this place is so refreshing and needed! The food is always delicious and reliable. The sushi is fresh and is definitely some of the best in the area. It is also rare to find a restaurant that is open past 9pm and operates most days of the week.

The staff is wonderful and extremely kind. It is a family run restaurant, you can tell they work hard and care about their place.
