Brix Gastropub — Restaurant in Town of Marlborough

A friend of my wife and I met for lunch at the Brix today. Our friend chose the Brix because she has eaten here before and enjoyed it. We are all local to the area and are always looking for someplace different and away from the food chain places, like Chili's and Applebee's. No offense to these restaurants. They're good for what they're intended for. I chose the Brix burger with fries, as did our friend and my wife a Brix harvest salad loaded with apples, strawberries, nuts, various salad pieces, and chicken on top. All of our meals were excellent. My burger was charbroiled and super good. Very happy we chose the Brix. Can't wait to come back and choose another meal. The lunch menu had several meals that I wanted. I settled for a burger because I really enjoy a good burger and if a restaurant fails at a good burger then most likely everything is probably not great either. I was very pleased with my burger and I really enjoyed it. I think I'll shoot for a Reuben sandwich next time. Another favorite of mine. My wife really enjoyed her salad and couldn't eat it all so she has leftovers to look forward to. Beautiful rustic setting inside. Our waitress was excellent and checked on us often. Manager checked on us, mid way through our lunch to make sure all was well. I was pleased to see him and that's always impactful to know they care for our comforts. Sorry, no pics but they are already well represented on the website. Parking can be challenging in this area. We arrived and found a place easily but while waiting for our friend in the car, we saw the parking spaces filled quickly. We timed our space perfectly, I guess. Nice area around the restaurant which makes it easy to see why the parking is busy. Brix appears to run a very nice restaurant. It was busy and well earned from my experience. We'll definitely...

I could not say enough about the entire experience I had with Teddy & the team at Brix Gastropub!! I was organizing a very important Celebration of Life at West Point for my mother in law and from the first time I spoke with Teddy I knew I chose the right place for catering the event. We live in California so everything was organized remote & there were a lot of moving parts to make sure things would come together. Teddy’s communication with the florist, the West Point coordinator, making sure everything was on track & always reassuring me everything would be perfect and perfect it was. The menu selections were mostly Teddy’s suggestions and from the beautiful presentation of the most delicious antipasto plate to the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had (I heard that from many guests) and following a serious gorgeous Harvest salad topped with the freshest fruit & ingredients. Our main course of yummy tender marinated skirt steak with savory over the top Mac & cheese was absolutely amazing. Your house margarita jug was a hit as your wine selection. Quality ingredients throughout & superb presentation! Teddy, I couldn’t thank you enough for everything you did to ensure the best food & service was provided for such a special event & I only wish Brix Gastropub was in our neighborhood!!! WOW. From the moment I came in the bartender was helpful in helping me. Find a great parking spot. Mikaela was an absolutely phenomenal server. She very cleverly took our order quickly before a 20 top.. she sent it to the kitchen quickly so our food came out quickly and accurately.. she was extremely genuine and personable. Her timing two minute check backs were flawless.She made a wonderful Suggestion to me on the. Brix Bowl. I had it with shrimp. It was absolutely outstanding. It is obvious that there is an extremely strong culinary presence in the kitchen. I had heard that they source and purchased their food locally and sustainably. It was very obvious with all four entrées that the food was phenomenal. But the best part was definitely not only Mikaela service. Either the owner or the manager stopped by to check on us, which is a great touch. He also pre-bussed The table. Which I appreciated very much. The bus boy was also very good. Very personable. Very attentive and always doing something productive. The teamwork and synergy with this front of the house team is definitely world class. I would highly recommend this Gastro pub to all of my friends and family. Outstanding outstanding job...
