Frank’s Village Market & Deli — Restaurant in Town of Marlborough

The food is generally pretty good and fairly priced but I've had a couple things I really did not like. Also depending on what you get the portions are way too small.

Starting with some things I liked... The sausage and peppers sandwich was pretty good though I probably wouldn't get it again. Best thing I've had here is a breaded chicken with some kind of lemon butter sauce. It was one of their specials but I've seen them offer it several times. Their cold sandwiches are above average I would say and the prices are fair. I'd say most of their typical deli foods are really good. (Cold cuts/pasta&potato salads all good)

Where it starts to get hit or miss for me is their hot foods. It was like $8 for two tiny pieces of fried chicken which was pretty average taste wise. (No I don't consider "average" to be good) Also I've given their mashed potatoes like 3 chances and I can almost guarantee they are using powdered stuff from a box because it's very runny and flavorless. Big disappointment considering it's their go to side for most of their hot specials.

Also all the snack foods like chips etc are overpriced. I guess they get away w it bc people get a sandwich and it not like they gonna also run out to hannaford to save a buck on some doritos.

Overall I like this place but you have to know...

I recently visited Frank’s expecting a simple lunch of a sandwich, chips, and a drink. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory due to incorrect menu prices, inconsistent explanations, and additional unexpected charges.

The menu listed the sandwich and when I inquired about this discrepancy, one employee claimed the tax made it $10, while another admitted the menu had outdated prices.

Receiving two different explanations for the pricing issue was confusing and unprofessional. Clear and consistent communication is crucial in these situations.

There was an additional $0.79 leverage charge that was not explained upfront, further increasing the cost unexpectedly.

The service was subpar. The staff seemed disorganized and unhelpful when addressing my concerns about the pricing and charges.

Overall, my experience at Frank’s was disappointing. The combination of incorrect menu prices, inconsistent explanations, unexpected additional charges, and poor service left a lot to be desired. For $21, I expected a much smoother and more transparent transaction.

Given the numerous issues, I cannot recommend at Frank’s - there are plenty of other places where you can spend your money and receive better service and...

Today which is Tuesday I called ahead of time to see if there was any parsley and cheese Italian sausage left because it goes quick but the owner told me previously that they make it every tuesday,so I can't miss right? Well the young lady that answered the phone said yes they do have some left, I said great I'll be there in 10 minutes please put it aside for me. When i got there is told the young lady that I was the one who called and she had an embarrassed face as she tells me the owner just walked out with the rest of it to take home for their dinner, the first thing i said was (well didn't you tell them i just called and asked you to put it aside) and she said yes but took it all anyway,now that is some selfish,and poor business relations with their customers,and after commuting two hours home from work I didn't want to drive out again for no reason, that's why we call ahead!!! Well owners of frank's, I'll never spend another penny of my money in your deli again, and I was a very regular customer but never again because of your petty...
