Yuneās saved the night for me and my party of 8.
Had reservations for Okarie after my brothers graduation last night. It was a chaotic unorganized disaster of a place. We left. After spending 3 hours at graduation and 1 hour in this place we were starving.
I called Yuneās (at 9:25) since it was close by. I explained its my brothers graduation. They said that the kitchen is closing I said I understand. Then few minutes later I get a call back from Yuneās saying to come that the owner said itās okay! We rushed over.
*The food was delicious and fresh. My entire family enjoyed their dishes. I had the chicken teriyaki, my new favorite !!! The presentation was beautiful(I wish I took more food pics to post). The ambiance was calming. Lighting was dim. The portions was generous. The price was reasonable. The time the food was ready was perfect considering the amount of us. We were all relieved to be in a beautiful establishment. *
Our nice waitress had later said that the owner made our food himself. We were all amazed. She said that when I called and told them it was a graduation dinner he felt that he had to take care of us ..even with his staff gone.
This is a owner dedicated to his business . And a man with great values . He didnāt have to take us in but instead he took it upon himself to take care of it. He eventually came out and spoke to us saying he understood it was graduation and couldnāt say no. And that the desert was on him for my brother.
He saved the entire night for us and made my brothers graduation night so special. If your in the area or craving a good restaurant Yuneās is the place to go!!! It will be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf youāre looking for a good restaurant, this isnāt it. First, my party and I came here for dinner for the first time and the experience was horrible. The server was never around to check on us. My party and I had to keep calling him over during a night that was night busy at all. He never checked on us, he would talk to multiple employees instead of checking in on us or taking our order in a timely manner.
Secondly, the food quality⦠My whole party got sick. The sushi that we order was ābacked upā they told us so it took a while to get to our table. Again, this was during a night that wasnāt busy so we were confused why the food was backed up in the first place and then when the sushi finally gotten to the table well letās just say we were disappointed. The sushi didnāt taste right at all. Even the fried rice was old and not fresh.
Finally, one of the servers that was a short nasty old lady with blonde hair who looked like she didnāt enjoy her job at all had the nerve to come to the group and asked about the tip. Excuse you! How unprofessional are you. Not only did we spend a lot of money but a tip was given. None of us ever felt so disgusted about a serverās behavior. We are all strong believers in tipping no matter how we are treated but to ask for more on the tip.. is truly disgraceful. The old lady with the blonde hair should be fired. We will not be returning to such an unprofessional place that hire such staff. I recommend people to...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePlace was empty when we pulled up, should have been a sign to go to somewhere else. At first, hostess was friendly while we ordered our food. Ordered with no issue.
Table of 7 came in 15-20 minutes after the wife and I ordered. Table of 7 ordered, got their appetizers and salads. I asked if I could get my salad and was told āyou want moreā. I said no I never got mine and we ordered 15-20 min before party of 7.
Ordered beef bulgogi wife ordered a couple rolls. 30 min came and went, told waitress we have been waiting a while and waitress told our waitress what we said and our waitress rudely said no they havenāt been waiting for 30 min which apparently pissed her off bc after that this lady who said she was the manager for 9 years became extremely rude.
Food finally came and to say the least the bulgogi was the consistency of beef jerky. Wait staff didnāt seem surprised we didnāt eat our food, kind of like it was common. All wait staff was extremely friendly except for the supposedly manager who had been there for 9 years. All the sudden she snapped like a person with bipolar disease and all the sudden became deaf as she couldnāt understand what we were say, kept saying what I canāt hear you. Ridiculous, go somewhere else f you want good food, could have been an off night but highly doubt it. Get rid of the ā9 year managerā. Give the position to one of the Indonesian folks that work there. You would get way better service...
