Gold Chain — Restaurant in Town of Montgomery

This was my 1st time trying them, and I absolutely loveeee their food! I have been going to China city on 17k since I was 7y.o. never wanted to try nobody else, but I'm gonna have to trade them for Gold Chain! EVERYTHING was awesome! It had a grilled taste! From the wonton soup to my veggy lomain, to the sesame chicken to the pork fried rice. LOVED IT! ❤️ The service was excellent as well! The older lady that took my order, I think she was the cook & cashier also, she's a wonderful sweet lady & she's fast! Absolutely love this place! #1 fav from now on. I haven’t been to Gold Chain in years since we found better options locally. We wanted Chinese last night but it’s a Monday and our regular place was closed so we ended up back at Gold Chain. This used to be our regular place and we used to love it, but it has changed drastically. First, it took 3 attempts at calling to get answered. Then I was told 35 minutes. I went in after 50 minutes and the food wasn’t ready. Boneless ribs had no flavor, pork fried rice was not good. Fried dumplings were all dough and barely any meat and the egg rolls were also mostly dough. I will not be going back there again. ...

Ordered veggie dumplings...they were awful now I knew already that they put TONS of green beans in literally everything veggie but when I got the dumplings with only chopped green beans and onions inside I was really annoyed I have never had any type of Asian restaurant sell me a dumpling that had only chopped green beans and onions for a filler Ive never even gotten green beans as a filler ever and not only that but whatever seasoning they used was even worse I can’t even describe the flavor I won’t be ordering from here anymore it’s time to see what other Asian places around here...
