Green Bar — Restaurant in Town of New Paltz

So when I 1st started coming here I noticed that they would waste a lot of the smoothie and instead of giving the left over in blender to customer they would throw it out , so I requested that they give it to me WOW i guess the “owner “ had a problem with that because he fought me on it when i brought to his attention and I shouldn’t get the snooty and rudeness from the owner when I saw it happening with my own two eyes anyway long story short I wouldn’t be giving this review today if he didn’t do what he did today idc if you the owner you still have to obligation to make your customers happy the smoothie I got today was horrible it was not a smoothie when I said something the owner was not very nice told me it was nothing wrong with it a smoothie is icey not just liquid I wasn’t happy I won’t be going back don’t like the owners attitude if I’m paying 13.50 for a smoothie it should be exactly what I ask the employee’s are really nice the owner is not nice at all and they close way too early it’s a real waste of money I won’t be going back they are over priced owner is rude and again they close too early at 4 pm in the summer like who does that ? They made me wait for five full minutes before telling me they are not making juices today, despite knowing from the moment I got in and approached the counter that I wanted juices. I asked why, they said because they are short on staff. There was no one else in line to order anything, they had their hands free, they simply refused service. It was clearly made up on the spot, something you will recognize in at least one other review if you keep reading.

The young man who serves seems unhappy, as his responses were short and designed to shut down follow-up questions from a customer waiting for their order — not a good sign. The owner is a sour man who doesn't like people; he stares at you with disdain. Not the first time I see that.

Some ingredients are organic, but you have to screen all the ingredients carefully, with the help of the staff, if you don't want pesticides in your juice. The juices can be tasty, but the service is terrible. My family and I will...

So excited this place is under new management. I've been to Green Bar many times since they opened and it's become one of our family's regular spots - something for everyone! The owner is so dedicated to creating.a warm space and serving up high quality food. The ambience is chill and homey. So grateful this place is back with new energy and filling a gap in New Paltz. Everything we've ordered has been consistently super fresh, nourishing and delicious...everything. My go-to orders are the quinoa bowl and the PB&J toast - both simple things, done really well, with some love baked in. I'm so happy Green Bar is back and hope they stick around for the long haul....
