Burger Box in New Paltz NY gave everything it needed to give. We ordered enough to feed four and still wanted more. Let’s talk about it. We started with the Garlic Knot Pretzel Bites they were soft, pillowy, and perfectly golden, tossed in garlic, parmesan, and parsley with a rich house marinara for dipping. Unreal. Then came the stars: 🔥 The Spicy BBQ Burger had smoky flavor, melty cheddar, crispy bacon, house BBQ sauce, and spicy jalapeño slaw. Every bite was bold and juicy. 🌿 The Horseradish Burger was a savory masterpiece with swiss cheese, herbed mushrooms, horseradish cream, and arugula for a fresh peppery kick. We shared Parm Herb Fries for the table. Hot, crispy, and loaded with rosemary, parmesan, and garlic aioli. Truly addicting. And that Lavender Lemonade was light, floral, and refreshing like a sip of summer. The vibes in New Paltz were cozy and creative, full of small town charm and good energy. And if you’ve got room for dessert, Huguenot Creamery is just up the block with handmade ice cream worth the walk. 📍Burger Box at 125 Main Street in New Paltz NY You’re going to want to add this to your foodie list. #creatorsearchinsights #BurgerBox #HudsonValleyEats #UlsterCounty #HVNY @doperants @Burger Box

We stopped here on a road trip because they had mac n cheese which our toddler that was hungry and on the verge of breakdown wanted. We walked in and probably half of the tables were in use and we were told to sit anywhere. That is usually a sign that things will go smoothly. So we sit and the waitress brings us a menus and we say can we put an order of Mac n cheese right away because our daughter is crashing and she goes I have to get other orders first to be fair. I was upset about how dismissive she was about the whole situation but it did turn out that she did put in the Mac n cheese order. That comes maybe 20 minutes after. About 30 minutes after we got the Mac n cheese we ask the waitress about the remainder of the order and she said we still had a table in front of you and that when they are busy orders take up to an hour and that’s why she told us that when we walked in. The thing is she didn’t tell us that. She just told us she had to take orders in order of arrival. It was only written on the lower right corner of the menu in small font. She should have explained the situation and when we told her our toddler was crashing. In my honest opinion this place is not family friendly. Unfortunately we ended up cancelling the remainder of our order.

Listen! I need you all to understand something. These burgers are nothing to play with. Sure you can argue that they are a bit overpriced for a burger, but these are no ordinary burgers. No my fellow foodies! These burgers have been kissed by the good man upstairs. Double patty, toasted and soft buns, juicy, flavorful. So flavorful in fact that upon first touch of the tongue you will be transported to a world only known to others who have consumed these “PERFECT PATTIES” as Narnia! Now that we’ve covered the blessings this place calls a burger, let’s move onto there fries. Oh the simplicity of a fry, yet so easy to mess up. Not here! They are crisp, they are soft, they are perfect in every way a fry wishes to be. I don’t know what magical creature they have back there preparing the food but my hats off to you magical one. You have blown my mind in ways never imagined. I will most certainly come back here and bring more people to have the experience I wish to have again for the first time. Also if you can afford it (it’s only $6 bucks. You spend more on your Starbucks coffee), you can buy a round of beer for the magicians they call “chefs aka the owners” who make your food.

It wasn't bad. That pretty much sums up the review.

For some context: We went there around dinner time. They had us sit wherever, and brought over menus quickly. The number of choices is decent. There's maybe ten different burgers to choose from on top of a few starters and "frachos" and other sides. The burgers definitely had a gourmet feel to them. That being said, this is easily the most expensive burger in town. 13 bucks for a burger in another restaurant will include fries, and in a cheaper town a drink too. Here 13 bucks gets you a burger and nothing else. That's OK, we did get a "table fry." The woman who took our order was very nice, but I felt it was a little odd that they did not ask us how we would like our burger cooked.

Then we waited. And waited. For the two of us, it took almost an hour for our meal to come out. It seemed that was the order of the night because for that hour barely anyone in the place seemed to be eating. Now they are only just opening, but that's still one hell of a wait.

When we got our burgers, they were damn good. There's no doubt about that. They were juicy, the toppings were fresh and tasty, and wherever they got their buns did the best job at not getting soggy. I am very happy with the burger. The fries were just OK. They were your usual fast food fries. For 6 bucks, I was disappointed by the portion. The amount of table fries we got seemed like a bit more than a portion for one person. They were OK. They were fries, they were salty, but they were not worth 6 bucks. To reiterate, the burger itself was fantastic.

At the end of the day, 3 stars is a decent rating I think. They will likely (hopefully) work out their kinks in a little while. It is quite pricey, especially for the portions. Would I come back? I think so. Would I eat there regularly? I don't think so. I can see this being a place where I would go once every few months, not once or twice a week.

Either way, thank you for having us and good luck with the...

I genuinely enjoyed this place and would go again. My burger was pretty good and the menu offers food combinations you wouldn't expect. One of their dessert options included fries with ice cream. I never saw this before and it was pretty great!

My issues stem with the fries and appetizers. My appetizer was really good, but I was disappointed with the portioning. It was pretty small for the price. My fries were not that great and I probably wont get them again. They were under seasoned, soggy and greasy. Despite this, the smaller portion size of fries on the menu actually are enough to feed 2 people. That was cool.

Service was good and the staff was nice. It took awhile to get my meal and order, but they just opened so this should be expected

At the end of the day this place is quite pricey, despite it's good qualities. I could go down the street to bside and get a similar burger with fries for half the price, but the same quality. If you are looking for a good, decently priced place, I dont think Burger Box is quite it. It cost over $40 for 2 people. In my opinion, this is a lot for a burger joint.

I would definitely recommend checking this place out though. It does provide good service and...
