I was eating a Tokyo Sushi this past Sunday (1/11/25). I placed my order, and while I waited, I noticed the Sushi Chef was visibly sick: coughing, sneezing, shivering, etc.
I felt concerned about illness exposure, but I told myself that he must have allergies because no business owner would allow their employees prepare RAW fish when they're visibly ill.
Flash forward to today: I have been so sick for the last two days that I can hardly get out of bed.
I am disappointed that an establishment the I have loved for years would disregard the health of their employees and their customers. The restaurant's management has a responsibility to provide a safe and healthy environment for the people who come through their doors, and it didn't happen.

Instead of being delicate with a hint of sweet and heat that you find at establishments that execute it well, the beef dishes taste like tough, shoe leather-like food. Even the teriyaki dishes, come off as quite flavorless (overcooked) (and no rice, really?). The sushi is the best option; it is adequate for the Hudson Valley but isn't particularly noteworthy. The rice isn't overly thick (which is excellent) and the rolls are prepared as one should anticipate, but they still seem to lack something that is difficult to describe. Very solid predictable American-suburbs-generic sushi with decent fish, good complimentary miso soup and korean style side salad. The Korean food was an unexpected surprise! Happy with the sundubu jigae (spicy tofu seafood soup) on a cold rainy day. Much more "generic" and "white people friendly" version than some sundubus; only has a goguchara, tofu, and a couple of shrimps (some sundubus can have a lot of seafood and be very 'fishy'.) And so cheap! Two entrees and a 375 ml bottle of sake for $40.
10/10 would recommend for those expecting unpretentious and basic americanized asian-fusion without...
