Super nice super quick check in. Front desk staff was smiling and lovely. We did have to ask for bottled water, and we were met with an eye roll which was weird.
There was a little bit of mold at the corner of the walls and the ceiling in the bathroom and all around the room. We decided to not worry about it because we weren't really going to be in the room very much during our 2 night visit.
Fast forward to day 2, 9:00pm when we desperately needed to shower. The tub did not drain. We asked if they could come down and fix the drain so we could take showers. They could not. So they offered us another room on the other end of the hotel. We had already unpacked everything, and this would have meant repacking a tremendous amount of stuff including and gear and bikes. Moving to another area would have been a tremendous undertaking. We suggested that they just allow us to go to another room to shower quickly and we would come back and sleep in our room for the night. They declined this request, stating that it was not possible because they couldn't hold up two rooms for the night.
After trying to explain that we wouldn't be holding up the second room we would literally be using the shower for ten minutes and they could just clean it right away if they needed the room, we were still denied the request. There was no discussing or thinking outside of the box to help.
Frustrating to say the least. I have spent an entire career in the service and hospitality industry where I have experienced some pretty strange requests to myself and my staff. But this seemed so simple and easy especially because we presented a quick easy solution to the front desk and it was denied.
Buyer beware. If you stay at this hotel, check your shower first, or be ready to bail out your shower with the tiny ice bucket. Also...don't use the ice bucket in the room unless you are cool with dirty shower water in your cocktails....

There was a mini-fridge and a microwave in the room, both of which were clean. The location is fantastic. I woke up to beautiful views and its easy access to the area's popular destinations as well as many food options (I can recommend the diner in front). Water pressure was good. There was a decent amount of counter-top space for toiletries. The not so good: the hallways smelled like chlorine. We couldnt hear anything from other rooms but the door (why do so many hotels use hollow doors?!) and windows are cheap so hallway and parking lot noise was obtrusive. Thankfully ppl were generally quiet during normal quiet hours. The bed wasnt very comfy. I like a firm bed and that was too hard. The pillows needed consistent fluffing. They went quite flat unless you tucked the ends in but the ends came untucked with use. There was no coffee in the room. The elevator is small. You need to step on before bringing in the luggage cart and there's no way you'd fit a large family in there with a bunch of bags. A small note in case someone in charge cares - when it comes to updating the mini-fridges, there are newer ones that have a completely separate freezer. I've seen them in another hotel and was so happy with it. As ppl who car-travel (and use ice packs for physical issues), being able to re-freeze our cooler's ice packs is ideal and I will choose a place with better appliances over others given the choice. All said, it wasnt terrible and was about what I expected for a Red Roof, though I do think their prices should never be much...
Read moreNever again. I’ve stayed here 4 times. First time the room was not clean, smears on the tv, backboard of bed, and fridge and marks on curtains. Came back because the location is convenient. 2 other times I had no issues. My last time, lastnight I booked in person (first mistake) I normally book online and use my membership account which gives me a discount. In person I didn’t realize that my phone number and name doesn’t automatically bring my membership up, and I mentioned that I am a triple a member and so I received a discount for triple a which I realized was significantly more expensive than if I were to do the member discount. Now not only was I leaving this morning upset from the night I had, as I came in at 3am to an unclean room, hair on the toilet, toilet leaking, beatles on the wall sill, and no shower liner, just a dirty curtain, and the most uncomfy bed I’ve ever slept in with the most uncomfortable small throw pillows. I was ready to go all out and ask for a full refund. But I decided not to due to me just honestly being exhausted, in pain, and wanting to just get back on the road. So I checked out and told the very unwelcoming man at the front desk that I would like to add my membership instead of my triple a because I didn’t get the full discount that I usually do and after a few minutes of eye rolling he looked on his computer and told me there was nothing he could do. And so I checked out and immediately called customer service who had told me that because I checked out, they could no longer do anything.. even with me still being in the parking lot. If I knew I shouldn’t have checked out, I...
