Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of New Windsor

I just want to say that I am writing this review due to my SINCERE LOVE for Popeyes.

On Friday May 28th 2021 at 6:30pm I visited this location in the drive through. I will start by saying that the food was absolutely fresh and delicious. What was not amazing was the customer service. In fact it was the worst experience I have had at a Popeyes and like I said I love Popeyes. First the young girl at the window did not even ask routine questions like do you want your chicken mild or spicy? What kind of sauce do you want? I ordered a sweet tea separate from my meal and she didn’t even ask what size. Then I get to the pickup window and she appears to be too concerned with what time she is getting off to attend to us. It is 6:30 and the manager told her she gets off at 11 so clearly she just got there. she forgets to give me my drink and I had to tell her what I ordered. I asked for sweet heat sauce because she never asked what kind of sauce I wanted and she states without looking we don’t have sweet heats. I drive off luckily I had planned to eat in the car so we parked in the parking lot only two realize that instead of the 6 piece two can dine tenders I ordered I was given a two piece chicken meal. I get back in the drive through line and bring this to her attention. At this point a older female manager grabs the bag and throws away the two piece and gives me the correct meal. I ask the cashier again are you sure you don’t have any sweet heat? And she reaches down to exactly where all the sauces are and throws the sweet heat in the bag even though she previously stated they didn’t have any. So now we park and eat food is good. I save my strawberry pie for the drive home only to take a bite into it about 15 minutes away to realize it was apple and not the strawberry...

I Went To The Drive-Thru On Thursday (11/14/2024), And Again Tonight On Saturday (11/16/2024), And Both Times I Ordered The 12 Piece Ghost Pepper Wings. For Thursday's Order, I Received LESS Than The 12 Pieces Of Chicken I Ordered, And Without The Blackened Ranch Sauce I Asked For, And The Mac & Cheese Was Old And Mushy. The Only Part Of My Order That Was Right That Night Was The 2 Apple Pies, Which Were My Primary Reason For Going To Popeye's In The First Place. For Tonight's Order, I Made Sure To Ask Them To Remember To Include My Blackened Ranch Sauce, But I Had The Same Problem With The Chicken, LESS Than The 12 Pieces I Ordered, As Well As Some Of The Pieces Being Undercooked, Despite My Having To Wait 10 Minutes For My Order. Apparently Someone Doesn't Know How To Take Orders, Nor Do They Know How To Count...Either That Or Employees Are Intentionally Shorting The Customers' Orders And Eating Their Food. I Tried Calling The Store Twice To Speak To A Manager, While Writing Up A Text Message To The Owner Of Popeye's Regarding My Experiences In The Event That I Received No Answer...Yes, I Have His Direct Phone Number, And I Ended Up Sending The Text, And I Will Be Looking Forward To Hearing From Him Soon, Just As I Had In The Past... His Response Was IMMEDIATE!!! They Should Have Answered The Phone When I Called, Better Yet, DO BETTER So That No One Will Need To Make Any Calls To...

Worked here for one day…literally. Would not recommend working or eating at this establishment. I had gotten told to come in at 4 on a Thursday in all black. Showed up thinking i would receive a shirt, hat, and apron or something along the lines of that and i ended up just working in my regular clothes. Besides that, i had not gotten told when my shift would end. As i did not receive a break either and i worked a 4-11:30. Extremely dirty environment, i kid you not people barely wore gloves. The stuff is rinsed, not washed so racks that hold chicken literally had old flour and stuff after being put back. Another thing was the person “training” me was only employed 3 weeks prior. Not to mention he told me cooks get paid 16.50 and i was hired for a cook for 15.50, and on top nobody gave me paperwork to fill out direct deposit or even for a check so i have no clue if im even gonna get paid. I left my previous job because of bad management, and i got re-hired into bad management. I had to put the truck which comes in the morning, away at 10:30pm. I also had a coworker tell me the manager chris verbally abuses him. The kid is 16…as a 30 something yr old manager why are you calling a child names. I left because i wont deal with that type of environment....
