Coach Diner — Restaurant in Town of New Windsor

My boyfriend and I stopped by for lunch. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and seated. Our server was quite odd and quiet. She put in our food order, I got the french dip and my boyfriend got the gyro. My french dip was almost inedible, with a pungent taste left in the back of your throat after every bite. I usually don’t complain so I tried to eat as much as I could. I took about three bites and gave my boyfriend a bite and he started gagging at the taste. I tried to fill up on the fries so we didn’t have to be in there any longer and wait for my dish to be remade.

After we both were very obviously done the server came and asked if i wanted a box. I said “no thank you but i do want to say something about my french dip, something is very wrong with this dish, it doesn’t taste right. There is a bad after taste and the meat tastes off.” To this she doesn’t respond she just stares at my food and walks off. My boyfriend and I were like did that actually just happen. She disappears to the kitchen and comes out minutes later to talk with her coworker, RIGHT BEHIND US. She talked crap about how the appetizers taste is still in my mouth and that’s what I was tasting, as she slammed things around and her coworker tried to calm her down. I sat there with my jaw on the floor listening to her shit talk my tastebuds. She told her coworker “fine i’ll just take $5 off.” i started laughing cause I was so uncomfortable with the entire situation.

This experience has made me never want to come back to this diner. The first two times my boyfriend and I came everything was great but this time was the complete opposite. After being shit talked in ear shot and trying to eat inedible food WE STILL TIPPED! I hope our waitress learns from this experience and learns how to control her emotions and deal with customers better at...

I brought my girlfriend here for lunch because the last 2 times we came here the food was decent. This time we came and she ordered the “French onion dip.” Which she had never gotten here before so she wanted to give it a shot. Oh my god, this was so disgusting. The roast beef didn’t even taste like meat, the dip was atrocious and it was just a horrible experience. We didn’t want to send it back because we are not ones to complain. She ate as much as she could (3/4 of one half of it) and couldn’t eat anymore. The waitress came to ask us if we would like a box, to which my girlfriend responded “no thank you, something just didn’t taste right with this sandwich”. After rewording herself the waitress just stood there and then walked away without saying anything or looking at us. As she walked away she began slamming objects and clanging utensils enough for her co worker to ask what’s wrong. She then brings the check to her co-worker repeating what we said while they looked at us. We heard them say “she probably still had the taste of the egg rolls in her mouth”, “oh well she still ate half of it”, literally right beside us so we could hear them. She then comes back saying the boss was able to take $5 off the meal, meanwhile the boss never even heard of the situation because they never told him. It was eventful and funny to watch this woman act like a child toward the end but, overall a bad experience. There is no reason to treat a customer like that and begin acting a fool because a chef didn’t make a meal correctly. To top it all off my fork was dirty and the place just smells like a public bathroom. They need new staff or to at least just replace this waitress who has no business having social...

My Sister & I went to eat Dinner at the Diner. Upon walking in we smelled mildew very bad & that is certainly not Healthy to breathe in for any of us !! The Owner was not Friendly at all when we walked in which caught our attention right away. We ordered Nacho’s for an Appetizer & as soon as we saw it….it did not look appetizing at all. The chopped meat was in shapes of little bars….not looking like chopped meat should definitely strange looking 😳.Worst Nacho platter we have ever had. I could not eat it, but my Sister did eat a little bit of it but quickly realized this is not tasting right !!! 😱 The Guacamole was very watery & had a bad taste…couldn't eat it. For Dinner we ordered a hot open faced pot roast sandwich with mashed potato’s. As the Waitress is bringing it towards us…we both say how wonderful it looked….Well….the mashed potato’s were BOXED potato’s & had a very strange taste !! The meat….well it looked horrible like it was old, & had been frozen a few times & certainly was not pot roast at all !!! 🤬 Couldn't tell what exactly was going on with the meat. We realize we can not eat this so we call the Waitress over & tell her. We were actually very nice so there was no reason for her to have this attitude. Now we go to pay & once again the Owner is not friendly at all. It doesn’t cost anything to be nice especially when you are the Owner. We leave & agree with each other we would never go back ! On our way home we had to pull over 2 x so my Sister could throw up 😩🤬 The crazy thing is….she only ate a small amount of the Nacho’s but obviously that’s all it took to make her sick….the cheese in the Nacho’s !!!!! Be careful eating...
