Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

I love coming to this one. The people are friendly, and the service has always been great.

It's classic American. Booths, a bar in the middle, TV screens with sports and events.

For many years I did not go to Applebee's again; days harking back to Pizzaria Uno's and the like. The food got real terrible, and prices too crazy.

While prices have gotten crazy pretty much everywhere, they have brought back a more affordable menu, and it's good! The burgers and fries, is amazing. I keep order the same thing, because I just have trouble believing it is this good, for this price.

These burgers have replaced the classic "burger deluxe" at the diners for me.

So why 4 instead of 5; their appetizers need work. While I do understand that most are pre made and frozen, toss the quesadillas on the griddle or grill for a minute. The boneless wings, they need a different vendor. It's like a flat hair day on a 70's disco night.

Their salads have come a long way; it's worth having if your into more traditional salads, and the portion sizes are good.

Their steaks are flavorful, and satisfies most cravings without the steakhouse pricing. They do appear to be brined, as is common in this price point, and...

I went to this Applebee's over the weekend, but before I did, I called to get a table of four, showed up close to my reservation time and the hostess sent me to a table with no wait which was awesome. I've been to this Applebee's in the past because I have family that live five minutes from this restaurant and when I saw their menu, it appeared to me that there were a few slight changes to the menu. I am a huge fan of macaroni and cheese from any restaurant and I was cut and dry when placing my order for the four cheese mac and cheese to the waitress serving my table. However, a different waitress gave me penne and cheese with a sweet sauce and chicken. It was terrible because I did not say anything about a sauce or chicken combined with the mac and cheese just plain four cheese mac and cheese with nothing on it. Frankly, the only things I ate there were fries and a bread stick. If you're a typical customer at this place and next time you think about having mac and cheese at this place, think again and order another entree or go to a different restaurant. i was there a few months ago. i had a few beers and figured i would have some appetizers. anyways i didn't see sliders on the menu and asked the male bartender if they had them. he told me absolutely. now i don't know about u but every place i ordered them they come in 3. so out came my plate with one tiny slider on it. i looked at the bartender and said if i knew this i would of at least ordered a real burger. he looked at my plate in disbelief and said he was sorry and ran with my plate to the kitchen. omg he came with 3 on it like it should have been. i only ate 2 of them cause they just didn't taste good. well needless to say i got food poisoning that night puking my brains out, was sick for couple days. folks do not go there u will be sorry, if there was 0 stars they would got that n more minuses. no wonder apple bees is suppose to go out of business, its because their staff is clueless and don't know how to run a food business, done for life with them or out of business soon i hope, I'm sure i wasn't the first one for their was like 6 people in...
