Chai Shop — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

I cannot recommend Chai Shop enough! It was such a pleasant treat to find right on Hillside Avenue. There is ample parking as well.

It has a nice rustic and cozy vibe, and is remarkably clean. The service is warm and friendly, and everything is very hygienically handled.

Everything I’ve tried on the menu so far is excellent. My favorite bubble tea is the rose milk bubble tea, and my favorite hot drink is the Kashmiri chai with the pistachio and almond topping. It’s the best Kashmiri chai I’ve had in a very long time. It was delicately flavored and I really appreciated that the tea is only lightly sweetened; and can be further sweetened according to one’s preference.

Running errands with my Mom we came across this pharmacy that has a Chai Shop inside. Sounded interesting so we went in.

They have a pretty cute set up, and you can certainly get your Boba fix here. Their brown sugar boba is freshly made and delicious. The milk teas are generally powdered unless you’re getting the Indian ones, which are served hot and cold.

We tried the Kashmiri Chai iced and Masala Chai iced. I wanted sugar free teas and since the powders are pre sweetened, this was really our only option.

While the teas were good and boba fresh, I would probably come here for the hot versions without boba and stick to my usual boba places for my fav boba flavored teas.

My daughter and I had a great experience on our first visit. Everyone who worked there was so friendly and helpful. My daughter had a great mango tapioca boba milk tea. We also shared a Karak Chai and a Kashmiri Chai. Both were really good. The Kashmiri Chai with (optional) chopped nuts added was our favorite between the two—so good! It’s also great that you can get the sugar customized in the chai. I prefer mine lightly sweetened. The Chai Shop is in a little corner inside the BeneCare Pharmacy.
