Dunkin' — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

Well I liked this newly reopened location and would’ve written a glowing review about it, except for my last 2 visits. I dunno if the man didn’t hear me or deliberately decided to have an iced coffee w milk and some caramel pumps instead of an iced caramel latte made for me, but it lacked taste and wasn’t sweet. I had to ask the grouchy young lady with glasses to “make it sweet,” I ordered an iced caramel latte and this definitely isn’t one, so add some caramel pumps in there or something to make this sweet enough. It tastes bitter right now. It was so close to my work time, around 2:45 pm on a weekday, and instead of happily going in an out, I got delayed having to ask this unfriendly person to make my non-caramel latte sweet enough.

This time, I came after 11, it takes a few minutes to walk from the children’s hospital where we punch out at 11 pm. For this location that’s supposed to be “OPEN 24 HOURS,” it’s actually closed promptly at 11 pm and locked to the public except for the little window out front, which nobody comes to seeing a person in uniform scrubs standing outside of, it’s a shame. The attendant, a man with glasses is curt and again, not really friendly and I just lost my appetite and changed my mind. Told him so, turned around and walked across to my bus stop. So, false advertising. Meanwhile, a man was happily chowing away inside. I wouldn’t have wanted to sit, just to order a small drink for the road.

I hope they improve their service and make it more friendly, I know people can be rude and demanding, but not nearly everyone is, and it’s a shame believing that this would have been a nice place to have right near the hospital where we toil and work second...

I’m glad I stopped frequenting this location. Ever since the old owner left, the service got worse every time. Employees were super unfriendly and acted like they were doing a favor by making our orders properly. Coffee started to get worse every time. I had been going almost everyday for years at this location and nobody would remember my order whereas the employees at the Dunkin’ on 601 Jericho Tpke always remembered my order even when I came back after 3 months. Have a lot more to say but won’t be mentioning any names of the disrespectful employees since it’s been a while since I came here. If you guys want fresh orders and good service, go to the Dunkin’ on 601 Jericho Tpke only about 5 minutes away by car from this location.

Response: If you look at my review, I never stated that the coffee has changed. I stated that the coffee got worse every-time I would go. This could be due to double running coffee grinds or serving customers coffee from the machine when the light indicator is red. Also there are many employees at your location that act like they are doing us customers a favor by making the order the right way and are very rude and disrespectful and give attitude to the customers when the customer corrects them. I have had five negative experiences on five different occasions at this location under your management. There are many other customers that feel the same way about this location if you read the reviews and there are several people that complained to you and your management and nothing was done to rectify...

Women to make my order a medium caramel and cream coffee ice explain that I wanted it light and sweet extra caramel after I received my purchase it wasn't the way I liked it so I asked the person could she please put extra caramel she went on and on about extra money extra money I put in four I put in five I said well can you put in more I don't care about the money so she put more than I asked for she made it extra extra sweet to make a problem I didn't cause a problem with her I proceeded to just walk out of the store because these people and these fast food places act like it's their food and you're not paying for anything instead of them being polite and nice about it they act like they're giving me something free and it's their house it's not their house I am purchasing something and I would like it the way I drink it that shouldn't be a problem but the woman that was there made it a problem to the point where she put in too much and I wasn't able to drink it but that was my loss and her game I guess because she wanted to be nasty about it I worked in that area for 31 years at northwell and never had a problem with my order this was the first experience and it will be the last because the Indian woman or whatever nationality it really doesn't matter but I was very disappointed so to the woman who thinks it's her house when she's giving a customer their order what goes around...
