I took my son there for shortness of breath. Check in via online reservation was seamless and the nurse that took us was good too. However, the pediatrician on site, Masood Yeroushalmi, was beyond terrible. This man did some some rudimentary checking of my son and ordered x-ray and EKG. When the x-ray showed some blurriness, he automatically called an ambulance to transport my son to the ER because he thought my son would have a collapsed lung. He didn't bother to re-do the x-ray or know other possibilities because he could hear the difference between healthy lungs and collapsed lungs. When I declined, he tried to cast the blame on me if something happened to my son. It seems this man cares more about placing all these expensive medical expenses on us than treating my son.
Long story short, we went to the ER, and ran a lot of tests. The pediatrician at the ER did the x-ray again, it came out clean. He checked my son's lungs, they were perfect. And this morning, the radiologist that reviewed the x-ray Masood Yeroushalmi ordered, said nothing is wrong with my son's lungs.
Because of the incompetence of Masood Yeroushalmi (I don't want to call this man a doctor), we experienced a long night at the ER, unnecessary anxiety, and medical expenses of ER visit. Thank goodness we refused the ambulance ride. Would have been out hundreds if not thousands of dollars for a 5 min ride, for the urgent care was 5 min away from the ER.
If you see Masood Yeroushalmi at New Hype Park Northwell Urgent...
Read moreWorst medical office experience ever. Dr. Chu was fine. But check in by link didn't work. Reception gave me a new link. Didn't work. Reception then did it herself in on minute. Told it wouldn't be long. I was 3rd in line. E-screen said I was #6. E-screen never updated. I kept getting phone notifications to check in. Was there over two hours. After, I got a voice mail telling me to go to Northwell's eye specialist - had nothing to do with my condition. I called the office (very hard to reach someone) and explained. Office said, it's a mistake. I said then you better tell the patient who needs this message. No interest from office. Next morning I received a call saying the same thing. Told them it's a mistake. They had no interest in pursuing the right party. They just wanted to sell me more medical services. Patient portal is IMPOSSIBLE. Need to register using info supposedly given me at the office - I received no such info. Two days later I got an email telling me to use the dysfunctional portal to get test results. Can't do that, so I jumped through hoops to call again, was promised a call back from the department that calls patients (?). They called to tell me they lost my test, come in again. I said I will never go there again! I'd rather take my chances and not take another test (I'm much better, don't need...
Read moreNot very professional and the doctor seemed condescending. I went during the evening and the receptionist was like 19 years old. I came into a environment where everyone was talking and it felt like a highschool environment. But I didn't care much about it, the receptionist then said "go to room 7, while I was walking there she's like nvm go to room 2" .There was black nurse I believe? She was very sweet. However, they didn't test me for a virus, only strep. And i came in with a sore throat that ive had for 4 days. The doctor came in and she seemed very dismissive and condescending about everything I was telling her. Not sure if she was having a bad day or what. I used to come here all the time and had good experiences. I guess don't come in the evening. Not much a professional vibe and doctor seems like she trying to get you home. Will be going to a different place from now on. UPDATE THE DOCTOR LIED TO ME* WHEN I WENT THERE YESTERDAY THE DOCTOR TOLD ME IT WAS A VIRUS. I SHOWED HER WHITE SPOTS IN MY THROAT AND SHE SAID IT WAS NORMAL. TODAY I WENT TO MY PCP AND HE SAID MY THROAT IS INFECTED AND THE WHITE SPOTS ARE THE INFECTION IN MY THROAT AND GAVE ME ANTIBIOTICS AND COUGH SYRUP. DONT GO HERE THE...
