Wow! No idea how the service here got soooo bad! Honestly, this used to be my favorite place in union landing.. The food at TGIF in general is usually amazing.. But we avoid this place like the plague, simply because of how bad the service has gotten. Door staff is unpleasant and rude, you have to get their attention and they respond to you as if you are in the wrong for interrupting their non-work related conversations. Orders have been messed up here the past two times we've been here.. Wait takes forever.. Wait staff could care less about what you need.. Staff is in accommodating. And I have no idea, how, with a state university, and 2 junior colleges within 7 miles of this place, hey have such incompetent employees! Extremely rude... Don't understand.. Don't even care to! I'm not even sure I could hire such horrible staff on purpose if someone told me to try my best.
We've now started hitting up the chills next door instead.. Save yourself the hassle.. People dine out to receive a service... You're better off staying in and trying to cook yourself rather than heading to this place.. I've been coming to this place since I was a kid and when Union landing was first built. I have vowed to never to return again.
Ps - I didn't catch the names of all the bad ones we've had to deal with, but today's horrible service was brought to us by Sahille.. This girl is not meant for the hospitality industry.. At all.. Our waitress was no...
Read moreFrantoni’s Pizzeria & Restaurant is a small place with informal dining. Most customers come for takeout or slices which they buy from the counter and sit themselves at the bare top tables. The place offer various sodas, about four different beers, and one white and one red wine by the glass. In the time we were there (Saturday 19:30,) we did not see table service. You have to get up and retrieve your order from the counter when the food is ready. We ordered a Grandma pie, two different bottles of beers, and ate with plastic utensils and paper plates. The service was friendly. As to the food; the Grandma pie was ok; not great; it lacked crispness (pizza pan insufficiently oiled?.) We asked that they cook the pie some more to achieve the crispness of the topical Grandma Pizza, but as son as it cooled down a little, it went limp again. The tomato taste of the pizza lacked the typical acidity of the tomatoes of San Marzano (I do not know which tomatoes they use.) The mozzarella was mild, and the thickness of the dough was as a Grandma pie should be. Overall, if you were to close your eyes while eating the pizza, it could pass for a regular NY style pizza, you could fold the slice and eat it!. We will not come back to this pizzeria for Grandma pizza, but for a regular slice and the friendly...
Read moreI recently visited here with the expectation of enjoying a simple yet classic cheese pizza. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. To begin with, the service was lackluster; the staff seemed disinterested and unresponsive to basic requests.
The primary issue, however, was with my order. I specifically requested a cheese pizza, but to my surprise, I received two entirely different pizzas. This was not only a mistake in fulfilling the order but also led to confusion and disappointment.
Moreover, the pricing was exorbitant. I was charged an unreasonable amount, which didn't align with the value of the service or the food provided. It's one thing to pay a premium for quality and accuracy, but quite another when the basics of the order are not met, and the service is subpar.
Overall, the combination of incorrect order fulfillment, poor service, and unreasonable pricing made my visit to here a regrettable one. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and implements necessary changes to improve their service and ensure that future customers do not face...
