Skara Taverna is the kind of place that reminds you what Greek food is supposed to taste like. Everything that came to the table was fresh vibrant and perfectly seasoned. The ingredients tasted clean and high quality and you could tell real care went into every dish. The meats were tender the salads crisp and the olive oil had that pure Mediterranean flavor that’s hard to find anymore. The service was just as impressive. Everyone there treated us like family from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. They were warm attentive and genuinely proud of what they serve. Skara Taverna is the real deal

Great new spot in Williston Park. Thomas, the owner, couldn’t be nicer and makes you feel like family right away. The baked feta was insane, rich and perfectly salty with a touch of honey. The Loukaniko was another standout, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Dessert was amazing too, with baklava and a shredded phyllo with cheese that were both unreal. The drinks were also great, highly recommend the espresso martini.

We had a great meal at Skara Taverna. I got the blood orange mocktail and it was really good. For appetizers, the zucchini chips, meatballs, and calamari were all tasty and fresh.

The chicken and pork souvlaki sticks were juicy, and the branzino was cooked perfectly. The manager was awesome—super friendly, checked on us a few times, and really made us feel welcome.
