Pearl River Diner — Restaurant in Town of Orangetown

Quaint little Cafe setting, great food with smaller servings for southern style restaurant, chicken and rice was excellent! My only complaint is space, we are in a pandemic and expected to share a small space with strangers at a table or booth. I am an ER nurse and by health standards that is definitely not helping the state of Mississippi or travelers through there. We took masks off to eat quickly and get out faster because of this and generally do not eat outanywhere so now I feel especially foolish. It’s nearly midnight and I’m hungry. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t know how this diner food is because despite their posted hours both here and on the door, they are not open 24 hours on weekends as stated. I have only been here twice since the new owners took over but both times the food was very good. Breakfast omelet and burger with fries - both very good. The service is also very good. There is a slight language barrier with some of the servers, so orders were confused a little bit, but they were quick to fix things and they try really hard - I'm sure ease of communication will improve with experience!
