Zimi Bagel Cafe and Deli — Restaurant in Town of Orangetown

Always great food, not quite fond of their lines out their front door sometimes, especially when calling in my food WAYYYYY ahead of time , but many times more than not, the quality of their food & the great taste alone makes up the difference of all that waiting in the line going out their front door alot of times if you don't get to this place super early in the morning before anyone else in the world is really up, out & about heading into this bagel store!! They've really got some top quality menu options, the breakfast sandwiches when the orders taken & fulfilled properly anyway, it's always top quality, tasty sandwiches, made with generous portions of each of the items included in the sandwiches & meals ordered here!!! Seriously my go to bagel place, just wish i was able to get down here more often to pick-up what they've got to offer for sale here!! Sometimes waking up early enough to make this trip as far away as this location is to where I live now makes it not worth my while to get here when many others have thought to do the exact same thing as myself, where I find the line of people waiting to get inside out the front door of their store, so that makes it that much harder alot more times than not, for me to make my way & take this type of hike all this way to get a decent breakfast sandwich, or even at times also pick-up sandwich for lunch & depending on their specials for that day, maybe even a sandwich or 2 for dinner or breakfast, lunch or dinner a few days there after that too. You'll never be sorry if you visit this location though, frustrated yeah maybe at the sometimes on again off again line out their front door alot of times when visiting their store, but you'll never be sorry you waited on that line that's for SUREEEE!!! Just really think, the line wouldn't be out their front door if their food wasn't as good as it truly is & SOOOO FAR BEYOND WORTHWHILE & GENEROUSLY PORTIONED OUT WHEN ORDERED AT ALL TIMES!!! Sweeping the floors while preparing food in what they call a kitchen or prep area. Completely unsanitary. Asking for two eggs and watching them pour a pre scrambled egg on the grill. I’ve been getting the same wrap for years. Lox scrambled egg on a plain wrap. The price is different each time I walk in. And it’s also made differently every time. Multiple hands in the register handling cash, while also making food. Two people taking orders while ten people on line, yet 6 other employees walking around keeping busy. Cleanup should begin after the last customer and doors are locked. Some employees are nice while others are rude. Sanitary conditions and consistency should be closely monitored. Edit: upon reading your response. No mention was made of the multiple hands in the cash register handling cash. My deli or restaurant never charged a market price for steaks or fish. All meats are sold by the LB. why is my sandwich priced according to what is Pre sliced that day? If someone requests 1/2 lb of lox you cut it as said. If someone, like myself asks for a lox sandwich use the same amount each time. Sweeping dirty floors while the store was busy with over ten people online and exposed food being cooked is a violation of a health code. Customers don’t need to hear about who has to get home to their families and why. Your open kitchen concept allowed me to watch your employee pour Pre scrambled eggs onto the griddle. Which also wasn’t what I ordered. Are eggs a market price as well? I had conversations with two other customers that day who said the only reason they were there was because everyone else was closed. To say I'm speechless would be a lie. I have an extremely colorful array of words to describe my disappointment and absolute disgust with the quality of the food I received and I WILL be getting a completely refund. Today I ordered lunch from this (train wreck) establishment. A BBQ cheeseburger and cheese fries. Seemingly simple meal. What I received in stead is the quality of food on par with a 10yr olds DIY lunch. Soggy friends with questionable green bruises covered in two slices of square cheese hardly melted. Disgusting. The burger itself was two over processed frozen Pattie's with the consistency of styrofoam sheets. On a roll. Not a burger bun a damn roll. Smothered in an obscene amount of barbecue sauce with two thin small slices of bacon NO CHEESE and a ridiculous amount of shredded lettuce to possibly hide this god forsaken meal. It was inedible.
