i came here today with two classmates during our break. we all ordered the same exact thing. A plain bagel with cream cheese. thats it! they are spanish/hispanic and I am african american, non-hispanic. when we went inside, there was only one other person in there and they werent busy at all. after we ordered, a lot more people came in. My classmates waited about 7 minutes for their food and then they received it. I waited almost 20 minutes for my food. A single bagel. They started serving everyone else who ordered MORE food than what I had and no, these people did not order in advance. I know that because I was listening. No one came in to pick up anything. Mind you, everyone else was white and/or hispanic. What really made me upset was the fact that the person who took my order, also the same person making the sandwiches, looked me dead in my face and said he forgot and did not know what I ordered. Then he said he is gonna make it. If this is not blatant discrimination then I don’t know what is. I Will never EVER buy food from here again. I hear them speak very badly about their workers and their customers. If you sit there long enough you will hear horrible things that you should never hear in a business. The bagels are just okay. They are overpriced. Sometimes The credit card machine breaks down so you only can pay cash all day. Sounds like a scam to me to avoid taxes but that's not my problem. As a consumer I want good service and a clean environment. Not the rude comments and filthy tables. If you guys don't like being in the business then sell the business. Read moreI order the same breakfast item whenever I visit. I find the food fresh and the place clean. The owner provides the BEST customer experience I have ever seen in a small establishment. One of his workers need to take a page out of his boss’ play book. I ordered egg whites that had yolks and he had the audacity to have an attitude because I showed him the yolk. Luckily, the owner was there and immediately remedied the situation. Another time, the same worker allowed a customer to open my sandwich and he thought nothing was wrong with that. In an annoyed tone, he said, ‘’you want it, or you don’t want it.´’ I had to remind him of infection control, particularly during these pandemic times.
