We were up in Ossining for the Weir Tour sponsored by Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct. Ossining is a very cute little town right on the river. In the town square, this restaurant stood out for its European vibe. Inside, people really were using Portuguese a lot, and Portuguese CNN was on the television. The shrimp cakes were cooked from frozen, tasted bland, and you’re paying for dough/filler. The bacalao was even more disconcerting; no love given to the fish or the vegetables it came with.
