I’ve literally never written a bad review in my life but it is necessary so that others are aware of the craziness and unprofessional management at this restaurant. By the way, I have worked in the restaurant industry for years and have never experienced such insanity in policy and management. There were three of us and one friend ordered pancakes...my other friend and I saw a category that read LARGE PLATES. We thought we would split (we weren't extremely hungry and like I said it stated large plate). I also ordered a mimosa we were not trying to be cheap by any means, I just simply knew I wouldn't eat all of the food. We placed our order and 15 min later our friend’s pancakes came out. My other friend and I waited for our food for another 10/15 min!! The manager this time drops off our food and proceeds to tell us that we MUST order another meal because it’s COVID guidelines and they are a "bar". My friend and I looked at each other as we both work in bars that serve food and that is not the rules. Yes, the restaurants and bars want everybody to eat but we were, we ordered one of the largest things on the menu. So I tried to order more potatoes to please them, the manager said, “No, you have to order another meal, we could be fined $10,000." We ended up ordering ANOTHER meal against our will... If that were the case why wouldn’t the server tell us that when we first placed the order 30 min ago? My friend and I that were splitting would have never ordered that Large Plate and would have ordered two smaller meals. So we wait and wait and our "required meal" that was forced upon us, was never brought out. I asked the manger for our checks and to take off our pancakes because it was not fair we were so full at that point. Thankfully she took them off. I don't feel an establishment should be able to FORCE me to order another meal when I ordered a big meal, especially after we'd already gotten our food. Its not like we all ordered one thing and split. We had a $50 tab and then are told after sitting there for so long, that we have to order more? The way the manager went about it was absolutely ridiculous ... DO BETTER. Absolutely unprofessional, stop using covid as an excuse to force others to...
Read moreThis "bistro" is pretty much a local pub dressed up in fake plastic roses to make it seem like something it's not. There were layers of dust on the fake flowers and vents. The wait staff was HORRIBLE.
Portions are small for price. I ordered the cauliflower appetizer and the avocado fries. The avocado fries were good. Just your basic avocado fries. The cauliflower dish was okay aside from the chipotle sauce they basically drowned it in. Flavors did not pair up at all. It was the same unexciting chipotle sauce as served with the avocado fries.
I ordered salad to start but it didn't come until after my dinner was finished for whatever reason. Our waitress was pretty much useless. We had two of them and they still couldn't get the job done correctly.
The salad was very smushy, almost as if it was sitting in the dressing for way too long. The dressing was too sweet. The shrimp were super dried out and did not seem fresh at all.
As far as the main dish goes, it was a St Patrick's Day special - corned beef and cabbage. It wasn't too bad. Clean, not too, greasy not too fatty. The slices were pretty thin but other than that it was good.
The music was terrible and overwhelmingly loud. I definitely did not need to hear little Wayne rapping about venereal diseases and menstrual bleeds as I was trying to eat. Seats are also too close for comfort with neighboring tables unless you enjoy eating with strangers.
And the bathroom was atrocious. The entire hallway and waitstaff area leading to the bathroom was also in disarray. The kitchen did not look any cleaner than the bathroom.
The only thing that made my review two stars as opposed to one was the fact that the corned beef was actually...
Read moreI came here today after a long day at work. I was so looking forward to this place since afternoon when I decided to have a nice deserved break after I saw this place on Instagram.
Since I walked in I was greeted by the owner with a warm smile. First thing I ordered was the Coconut Martini. OMG. To die for. It was sweet and you could taste the pineapple rum as well, great combination like a piña colada but not super sweet.
Then for Appetizer I asked for the Thai Shrimp! 🍤 THIS ONE IS A MUST!!! It was perfectly crunchy and the sauce was very well combined with the Coconut Martini I previously ordered.
For Entrees I had the Risotto! Let me tell you there are very few places that know HOW to make a good risotto and this place is one of them!!
The service was EXCELLENT!
The waitress was super attentive ALL the time, its true that it is a Sunday Evening and the place was not full at all, however she made sure I felt like home and that is rarely seen no matter where and what time you go.
They have a client for life! This is a restaurant that actually knows what it means to work in the service industry to the detail!
Do not think twice...
