Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

Going there I had read other people complaining about their tables not being cleaned etc and guess what, as soon as we sat down our arms were sticking to the table. I'm not sure what they use to clean but the tables were super sticky. Anyway we grabbed some napkins and cleaned out table. I ended up trying the classic wings with cheese sticks and I got the first hand experience of almost plastic made cheese. I'll be adding a video here as well of how uncheesy looking the cheese was. Then we ordered their chicken burger with grilled petty with Chipotle mayo on the side and it was nothing like a sandwich I tasted before. Even the Chipotle mayo was something else. I don't know if their standard of making things is so much different than the rest of the world or if the chef is trying to create something new but I never tasted a sandwich that would taste this bad before. No disrespect to the chef and the cooks there but I'd definitely suggest them to try other burgers(I'm not so sure in states but we got Red Robins, Milestones, Browns, Cactus Club, Earls etc in Canada and they all taste amazing). The service wasn't bad but the food just wasn't edible. So much for my friend to get me to try...

We should've learned our lesson the first time. My boyfriend and I came here a few months back where the nachos were burnt and they just could not get the food right. After our movie date we decided to come for half apps. The service was not good and the food was even worse. The nachos were burnt once again. Before we even touched them I asked the waitress if we could please get some nachos that weren't so burnt. Her response was that will be a little while. Then as my boyfriend was eating his quesadilla he found hair on his plate. At this point it was just ridiculous because why are you picking the plate up and looking at it like you don't see it. After about 20 minutes our new nachos came out. This time looked stingy and made incorrectly. At this point my boyfriend and I were just fed up. Another waitress, who was very sweet, brought by boyfriends new quesadilla to which at this point he did not want. She apologized (something our waitress did NOT do, she just got defensive) and actually handled the situation. Our waitress was practically impossible to keep track of. I wanted to share with you my experience on 8/24/2024 at the Hicksville, NY location. Our server Kayla C was great. She asked us how our meal was twice and was very friendly and personable. My issue was with the food quality. I ordered the Shrimp N Parmesan Sirloin and Kayla asked how I wanted it cooked, I said medium. Unfortunately the Sirloin was cooked well done. The mashed potatoes had no garlic in them and were warm at best, and one third of the broccoli had little black specs on them. Since I was at Applebee’s for a celebration, I opted not to bring it to her attention because I didn’t want to cause a scene and have the order sent back while my party was eating. My issue was 100% the fault of the kitchen staff and not the server. No manager ever came over to the table as I remembered from previous visits. I already reached out via the website and no one responded to me. Let's see if I can get some traction with this review. I don't think I'll be going back to this...
