Arby's — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

That was my first time eating at Arby's. My co-worker and I were super excited and had a hard time selecting a sandwich because the pictures looked so appealing. Finally, we. Chose their famous roast beef classic, a fully loaded fries and a Jamocha shake. We were extremely disappointed by the look of our sandwiches and it tasted like plastic. We then proceed to add some of their sauce in our sandwiches, hoping it would give some flavor... Nope! Yucky!!! Desperate, I added some salt and pepper but the sandwiches could not be saved! Now, we started to eat the fully loaded fries to remove the horrible taste of the sandwich in our mouth... Misery! I was at this point sure thatbthis place was not serving real food. The yellow thing that is suppose to be cheese tasted like nothing. The fries were chewy. Bad experience. Even their Jamocha shake tasted like chocolate milk!!! I was expecting the taste of mocha instead of plain chocolate milk! Arby's it is time to rethink of your taste and the look of your food and please don't give customers false information. I live in Jericho and went in tonight to grab a late night snack with my teenage son and daughter's. Was greeted by a cashier who didn't know the menu. When I asked for disposable sauce cups, the staff gave me an attitude and gave me ketchup packets. I explained I wanted to try the other sauces and it was as if I made her work extra hard to find them. I was charged for extra cheese for my plain fries. When I received my order there was no extra cheese. We went to ask for it and staff didnt wanna give it to us and said they had added it to my already loaded fries. After explaining that it was for the plain fries, extra cheese was given with such attitude. Finally, the last straw of HORRIBLE service came when at 10:57pm, 15 minutes after ordering per my receipt, the manager, who was sitting and eating yelled out at us that we had to leave because they were closing in 3 minutes. A surpringly large menu of variations of meat sandwiches. The location isn't. Easy to reach from my home by bus, but it is close by car. I had a ride one day and we decided to have a late lunch at Arby's.

3 PM on a weekday afternoon there were almost no other customers there. No waiting. I ordered their old standby sandwich: hot roast beef and cheddar cheese. The meat is marinated and I suspect it is served with a high salt content.. The taste was good but the texture of the meat was a little off for roast beef. I can see where the rumors that they use fabricated beef come from. They firmly deny those allegations.

The sandwich came on a large soft onion roll. Not a wonderfully great roll, but it was good.

They have a wide self serve selection of fountain drinks (free refills) Unsweetened iced tea was among the choices so I was happy on that front.

Too much salt is a medical no-no for me. That will probably keep me from a return visit to Arby's. I will make a point of looking up their nutrition facts before I...
