I have been to their oak tree location in New Jersey and was very impressed with the concept, food and service so when they opened their first location in Long Island, I wanted to try it right away. The location is perfect. The layout is modern, clean with somewhat of open kitchen so you can see that the food is being cooked in s hyegenic environment unlike most Indian restaurants in Long Island .
Even now, the restaurant is a new operation with staff in somewhat of flux mode with menu being extended gradually however one thing that stands out is the service with a smile. Mr. Deepak who manages this outlet for the group is the most polite person I have encountered in any service industry and his attitude makes one overlook minor flaws. He is ably supported by Ms. Deepa. The restaurant is not perfect yet and hasn’t reached the standards of Mithras other branches in NJ especially the South Indian portion of menu which is not yet at par with best South Indian food available in other South Indian focused restaurants in Long Island but the service and environment is way ahead than even most formal sit down restaurants In comparison to other competitors in Long Island or even Newyork city, the food is much better, delivered promptly and is consistent in quality. I have been to the restaurant 5 times in their 6 weeks of operations, thrice with big group of 12-13 people and each time, everybody loved the food. I also had the food catered for a small party at home. The consistent hits are chole bhature, raj kachori, paneer tikka, roomali roti with veg keema, Hakka noodles, bread pakora, gobi Manchurian, veg chilli cheese toast. The idli, Sambar needs improvement for sure. The sweets menu is still not as extensive as the oak tree lane location but hopefully it will get there. To some it up, if you are looking for a vegetarian Indian place that serves pan Indian food than their is no other option that comes even close in ambience, cleanliness, food quality and service in Newyork city or...
Read moreFirst time I ordered from this place. From the time I made my first phone call to this place to the end of my delivery. Everything was just. amazing.. The manager who took care of my order went above and beyond to accommodate me. He made the impossible so seamless. I live in Floral Park and I wanted some sweets delivered to North Bellmore For a pre-wedding celebration in less than 24 hours I needed this request completed. This manager had to put his whole business aside just to accommodate me. I was very very impressed and very very appreciative of his service and loyalty. He said to me he will handle everything I should not worry it’s amazing how he put me at ease. In these days you do not find that kind of service. And my order was not a huge order that you think he will be making money on me my order was less than $50 but his service and the effort he put into this that makes him stands out to be one of a kind in this type of business. The manager was constantly in contact with me keeping me posted of what is going on and how best he can assist me in getting the sweets across town..They are not enough gold stars to give you sir. The sweets were very fresh and very tasty. Everyone enjoyed them at the function. It came in a beautiful decorated box. Once again this manager has gone way above and beyond for me. By doing that he save the day for me . I was so lost I did not know where to turn for help until he came to my rescue.Thank you again sir for your effort your patience your understanding and more importantly thank you for coming through for me when I needed it the most. I will highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for delicious sweets great service amazing prices for any function. This is the place for you. Thank you again sir for your extraordinary service.. Many blessings...
Read morePictures and the happiness those delicious foods brought to our faces speak for themselves! 💛 I’m writing this review as I wait to pickup my food after coming here three days in a row. No joke! I first came here to try out North & South Indian food with my partner the first day, and (to note: we eat out almost everyday at variety of places), so to come back here with my family the next day from Queens and again today to pickup dinner should be a sign for you to give this place a try. REASONS TO VISIT: 1) Food is for the win and price is conveniently decided for each item ✨ 2) Clean place all throughout with parking lot outside that actually has spaces hahaha, 3) Well behaved staff and a lively environment to the point you can keep a sound conversation amongst the little bit of chatters which isn’t bothersome because everyone’s mostly busy enjoying the foods! 4) Fast serving right after you order at the counter and easy to-go boxes places by the door. 5) If you don’t want a sophisticated and private feeling to a dinner, but enjoy some time with good food (to satisfy your munchies for Gol-Gappa and such), this is definitely the place to go! REASONS TO PASS: 1) If you wanna miss out or try completely different cuisine haha. But on a serious note, 2) If you want some privacy or have important conversations over food, then this might be a place to try later.
Overall, This is my new favorite and I definitely love this place as a vegetarian myself. Favorite picks so far would have to be 1) Pani-Puri. 2) Aam Panna (first try and in love). 3) Veg Hakka noodles that they made without onions (grateful!). 4) Masala Dosa. 5) Pao Bhaji that my Honduran partner loves now! (So here I am, reordering to have for dinner again haha).
Thank you for running this wonderful and...
