When in New York, bagels are a must—and The Bagel Doctor definitely delivered. This was the second spot we tried on our trip, and it was easy to see why it was so busy. The bagels were fantastic: soft, with just the right amount of chewiness, and full of flavor. We tried them toasted with chive onion cream cheese and salmon—major win. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. At the time of this visit, a baker’s dozen came out to around $21. That might feel a little steep at first, but honestly, for the quality, it makes sense. You’re paying for a real New York bagel experience, and it shows. Friendly service sealed the deal. This spot isn’t just hype—it’s worth it. Hugo’s Take: 🟢 Not a one-and-done. Would happily come back for another round.

Edit: Had to go down to 2 instead of 5. Past few times has not been too good. Got a cream cheese bagel with barely any cream cheese. Paying almost $5 for a bagel I expect it to have more. All I was mainly tasting was the everything bagel. Would pass by at times in the morning since it was on my way to work but don't think I'll be coming back. It's a no for me 👎 One of the best bagel shops/Delis I've been to. The chicken salad taste fresh and flavorful- one of the best I've had. Bagels are soft and well baked on the inside. Sausage, egg and cheese is well balanced. Although I do recommend you ask for an extra sausage patty if you like more sausage meat to egg and bread ratio. Friendly staff

So a few things to note! The staff here are incredibly friendly, patient and kind. They will listen to you & help you out. They also personally make all their own orders.. so that’s great. However, the place itself seemed to be lacking upkeep. It wasn’t very clean & puts you off honestly. It’s also a small space so I’m not sure how it can even come to that. The food itself is left to be desired. Or maybe it’s just what I got? Not entirely sure. It’s a popular spot (from what I hear) but I don’t think I would go again.

Absolutely terrible service. Little girl behind the counter messed up my order claiming I told her to double everything I ordered which made no sense. Then gave me an attitude when she realized she made a mistake. Honestly never coming back here. Drink options were limited (granted I am an energy drink person- and they clearly aren’t a deli, just a bagel spot). Bread was a little stale so nothing to rave about and then when I questioned her overcharge she gave me an attitude saying that they charged more for the turkey and then even though I asked for a receipt, she rolled her eyes and walked away. I walked out. I’m done. First AND LAST Time ever walking...
