Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

My first time ordering a bowl from this particular Jersey Mike’s, and they give me a bowl that is maybe 25% food (that estimate is generous). The rest is empty. This isn’t my usual experience with bowls from Jersey Mike’s, so I place an order online and go back to pick up that sandwich and ask for a refund for the bowl. The guy is asking me what’s wrong with it, so I tell him my issue with it. Tell him I haven’t touched it. He starts going on about how do I know if I’ll like it if I haven’t tried it. I repeated myself numerous times about wanting a refund, while he’s arguing with me about eating a bowl I no longer want. He asks if I’d like another sandwich in its place. I decline, since we already placed another online order for a sandwich already. He keeps insisting about the bowl, and states how hard it is to give refunds, so I say I’ll take a gift card. According to him, they don’t do gift cards. So I repeat my previous statement of wanting a refund. He’s huffing and puffing the whole time while giving me a refund.

My online sandwich order was set to be ready for 2:56. We didn’t receive it until 3:13. Must be because he was too busy retelling the story of the woman who came in asking for a refund for an empty bowl to his coworkers so loud, that the customers could hear. So very unprofessional and so unpleasant. And yes, I was being very nice. That is not my usual demeanor, and you were grinding my every last nerve. Never thought a simple request could be so trying on...

I love Jersey Mike’s but this Bethpage location has gone downhill dramatically The service is terrible the people are unfriendly get the orders wrong look at you as if it’s your fault they messed up the order The place is messy in the food area they exploded oil Vinegar lettuce everywhere You wait for a long long time to get an attitude and the wrong sandwich soda machine is not working no one tells me till I get to the Machine employees don’t change gloves their hands are protected but my sandwiches isn’t wouldn’t take my show points or answer machine wasn’t working Employee said don’t worry about it just put your card in so I did no receipt no thank you I have to look at him for a minute he told me I was good This used to be my favorite jersey Mike’s I would come here once a week sometimes twice The people were great greeted me hello listen to me didn’t get the order messed up my sandwich I always went to this particular jersey Mike’s in Bethpage because of the people the staff and surprisingly they were young part-time workers who you would not expect that from now you have older people working there who are ruining that business I know people don’t usually read long reviews but I’m hoping that the management go on as well and correct this problem because I remember how delicious an experience was back...

Management on site is rude and unprofessional. Took a phone call in the middle of me placing my order and neglected to tell me there will be an extra long wait for my order.

In majority of places I have eaten, fine dining, fast food, or chain restaurant, it typical to set expectations right away. If you are backed up, tell me it will take an extra 20 minutes for my order, which in this case was a 13 and a 17 regular. If I was told this from the start, I would be given the opportunity to change my mind if I wanted something else.

I stood there with one sandwich made and sitting and sitting and sitting. All with me being ignored till the crowd of people coming in after me was helped. When I brought up the issue of me waiting and not being told I had to wait extra for a Philly hit sandwich, 27 minutes is way too long in my opinion, the "manager" just shrugged and said "we were busy."

This is my last time coming to this location...
